Georgia and Simon (GA)

Member Since 2010
Simon had to get up a little earlier with me today because I need to leave the house an hour earlier. That meant his testing, shot and food had to wait until it was his regular time. What a big production Simon made. Just because I am up, doesn't mean he gets his food right away but he doesn't understand. I have never seen such a nervous kitty, thinking he wasn't going to get his fud! All his happy now that he has been fed and his AMPS are pretty good this morning. I'll take bluish-green!

Not kitty related, but I am going to my cardiologist today just for a check-up. It has been almost 5 years since my heart surgery and my heart is doing great!! I have to thank all my doctors because I definitely would not be alive today if it wasn't for them.

Y'all have a super great day!!

G'Morning

Simon's looking good :-D

 Had the same thing this a.m. Simon woke everyone up an hour early coughing up a furball, and then the next
hour is spent with all 4 milling around the kitchen, crying, and getting underfoot.

Glad to hear the "ticker" is good.

Poor Simon terrified he was going to be denied food. Nice amps though

Good luck with the doctor checkup, I'm sure all will go well. It's amazing how science has progressed

  poor kitty! They get all out-of-whack when we change their routines.

Have a great check-up!

Re: 6/30 Georgia's Simon AMPS 101

I am pretty sure they all have nightmares every night that we will forget to feed them. You almost made Simon think it was coming true.   "Hey, don't forget about me. I'm here. Hello! Some food would be nice!"

Hope your appt goes well and glad to hear you are feeling good. What an ordeal and what a great group of doctors you have! We are glad they did such a great job too!!!

Re: 6/30 Georgia's Simon AMPS 101

Poor guy probably thought he was starving! That would have been the opinion in my house.

Good news on the ticker. Have a good appt!!

Very nice numbers for Simon.

My gosh you had heart surgery? I am so glad that you are in such good hands with your doctors. Wishing you a good visit with them. Have you gotten to the bottom of your headaches? Some people have holes in their hearts which cause horrible migraines on the migraine forum. One of them was in a research study about it.

I loved hearing about you changing Simons world on him this morning. That feed me face must have been making an appearance the whole time making you feel guilty. LOL.

Re: 6/30 Georgia's Simon PMPS 94

Yay for the green!!!

Thanks guys for saying such nice things today.

Karrie, it is so strange that you mentioned the migraines and people who have a hole in their heart. That is just what happened to me!! My doctor discovered a hole in my heart (I was in my 40's and she said I wouldn't have lived past 60) and that is why I had surgery. I was a candidate for robotic heart surgery which was the easiest and quickest recovery. I was out of the hospital in 2 days and walking around the block the next day and with no pain meds. To get back to the migraines -- I have had them all my life since I was 8 years old and they completely stopped after my heart surgery up until a year ago. Now the migraines are different (no aura) and my doctors all think it is related to my neck issues (disc problems). Now that I am on some new meds, I feel so much better and the headaches are mostly gone!

sorry to make this condo all about me. Simon is saying, "what about my green number? Let's celebrate!"

Good job Simon!

That is pretty amazing stuff - about your surgery and the headaches. A success story - just the best!
