+2..266.....little piggy this morning...may be food spike, although I'm suspicious of insulin, and will start new pen tomorrow.

A chipmunk made the mistake of coming into the screen porch, in a tiny opening under door. Tux was there. :sad:
Tux and Clancy played, "it's mine" "no, it's mine", back and forth, thru the house, before I was able to get it from Clancy.
Checkers is too dignified to get involved with someone else's leftovers. :roll:
Poor little chippy. :cry:

Sorry to hear about the chippy, Barb. I felt the same way about the little red tree squirrel that Rusty caught. I don't think chipmunks can see too well. One came down the stairs in our garden the other day when Rusty was lounging at the bottom of the stairs. The chippy didn't even know he was there (luckily he got away into a crevasse!).

Is it hot down there today? We're supposed to go into the upper 80s. Gotta get out early to do our chores!

Yippee, we're coming down. Hmm, maybe it's not the insulin. I'm not happy that it's a 100 pt. jump in an hour tho.

Somebody mentioned the other day, about the abundance of wildlife in her yard, I can't remember who it was. I wonder if this crazy weather is doing it.
There are 2 more chippys, out there, feasting on the thistle seed that the Goldfinches are scattering. I've got half dozen little yeller birds, hanging on the feeders at the moment.
Deer come into the yard every day, chomping way too close to my blueberry bushes. I hope I get some for myself this year.

*&^% racoon, comes up on the deck and drinks the hummingbird food, if I forget to bring it in at night.
It stands on the railing and reaches out to the hanger. I once saw one, holding the feeder in his/her, two little paws, drinking.....it was soooo cute.
A woodchuck comes up from a ditch and eats something in my grass, every evening.....grubs maybe

This is a busy year for critters! Way more than usual in June.

Oops....this is Checks' condo, huh?

Gee you do have quite a wildlife family out there!!! I love that-I had lots of butterflies here yesterday!
Checkers is doing great already today!! Look at him go--this is going to be a good day, I just feel it!

I was surprised to see Checkers up in those numbers.. he hasn't been there for a while! but glad to see he's coming down in a reasonably sensible fashion! hope you have a great day!

Technically, it's 5.75. I was working outside and cleaning car, and lost track of time. It's 78 and windy....gorgeous to work in.
He got a treat of MC, in case I forget about him again. :oops:

Ha! :twisted: Checks definitely was reading that! I'm glad your weather has cooled off. Poor chippy, but i some times wonder how many that we manage to "rescue", actually do survive. Perhaps it was best that it was over quickly.
 
Finally made it to your condo Barb, just making my way around. So nice to see Checkers green today, nice catch!

We feed the yellow finches too, and I was just saying to DH, I don't see as many this year. We probably have more female ones, I think they have less color, and some young ones. Sorry for the little chippy... we also have more squirrels this year… and the dear of course, I gave up with my garden, I can't take care of it anyway, so the dear can have it.
