Maybe I'll get a little more sewing done today...

WCR: All Ps in place. Holy food chasing this morning, batman! I was going to beat my head against the wall. Dear little snotty cat was being soooo snotty. It has to be the meds. She would stare at the bowl (as I held it in front of her) and then stare at me and then stare at the bowl and then walk away. I added some Fortiflora and she nibbled. I added some Purebites Turkey dust and she walked away. I added more Fortiflora and she nibbled again. I did this until she ate most of it. Dumped the little bit that was left and gave her a fresh bowl of Turkey & Giblets. She ate like she was starving. :-x  She's been kind of moody since our vetty visit. As always, this moodiness gets me worried. Hoping today that I can find some pharmacy that will sell us Lantus pens one at a time. :YMSIGH:

WHR: Ok. Icing back now. Tired, but feeling ok.

Missed posts from yesterday's condo:

Hi Michelle! Miss Shasta did have a mostly nice day of blues, some predictable yellows and an unexpected green. But then there was that ugly pink pmps. ohmygod_smile Trying to behave today and not stress out my back. Notice I used the word "trying"!

Hi Marje! Don't give up your energizer title yet. This is just the start of summer boredom. I'm so used to going going going that all of sudden, I don't know what to do so I busy myself. I'm getting to all those little projects that I put off until summer when I was hoping I'd have more energy. Don't worry, the energy doesn't last long!!!  My body & mind will eventually give in to the lull of summer break. :-D

Congratulations to all the OTJ kitties!!! Mocha, Gobbles & Zoey! Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Sending peaceful vines to Jack & Jane and Caryl while they mourn the loss of their babies.

Blessings!

Nice slide to green for Shasta today. I hope she starts eating breakfast better for you. Did you get any sewing done today? Hopefully your back is feeling better this evening.

I'm thinking you need to make that full body straightjacket so you can lay still for at least a week..... ;-)

Appy vines for Shasta....

Hi Carla, Deb & Rhiannon ~

Wow, this is embarrassing! So, I didn't do any sewing today. Yet again, I had the best of intentions. This afternoon, when I planned on going in to school and work in my classroom, I ended up searching for Lantus coupons and such online. Went to Walmart (after my chiro appointment) and had them do some pricing for me...$298 for Lantus pens (w/o coupon) :o OH DEAR GOODNESS!!!! and $168 for Lantus vial (w/ coupon) After I got home and ate dinner and cuddled with Shasta, I thought about starting the sewing process, but I grabbed the wrong zippers and I don't have the right thread (not that it matters.) Oh, and I didn't think the glass of wine would help the straightness of my sewing.

Deb, I don't really know how to sew (yet!), but I'm learning (slowly) and that's my summer goal. Right now, I'm making covers for a few foam cushions for Shasta and her niece (my sister's cat.) I have lots of patters that I just bought (thanks to Hancock's fabulous memorial day sale), but figure I need to start with the easy stuff before jumping into dress making!!! Or as Rhiannon has suggested...my full body straight jacket!!!

As for Shasta, she's eating a bit better tonight. I switched her over to FF Chopped Grill, as I think she's getting tired of FF Chicken. I still have a feeling that it will be hell to get her to eat in the morning. I may try giving her Zobaline in pill form versus crushing it up and mixing in to her food. I still add her Cosequin and miralax to her food, but we'll see if taking the Zobaline out helps her appy. Right now, she is resting on her favorite chair that she never gets to sit on (because it's shut away in my computer room that she's not allowed in without supervision because she tries to eat all of my books!) Anyways, it's out because that's the chair I use when sewing. She's in chair heaven right now. :-D

As for my back, it's ok...sore, but ok. It was sore after all the cleaning from yesterday, but now it's sore because of my chiro decompression machine! 60lbs of pull for my spine. It's a good kind of sore, but I'm still icing it just because it feels good.

Hope you are all well tonight. Give your kitties extra scritches from me!

Awesome...I'd put it on and sit at home...like I always do!!!

Re: 6/3 Shasta PMPS=254 +2=203 +4=105

This is a manufacturer's coupon for Lantus. Just fill it out like this is for an over 18yo human.

The weather here is crazy. I've lived in several Midwestern cities (Minneapolis, Cleveland, St. Louis and now Chicago) and the same maxim holds true: If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes -- it will change.

Re: 6/3 Shasta PMPS=254 +2=203 +4=105

The pharmacy at our hospital sells single pens. They had no problem taking the coupon for a cat, once they figured out how to get the computer to work right.  Sending appy vines to Shasta. We know that dance all too well. Yay for summer! :-D

Re: 6/3 Shasta PMPS=254 +2=203 +4=105

Thanks for the link, Sienne. I will try using it tomorrow and pray someone honors it!!! Love the 5 minutes weather. That can be transferred to our summer rainstorms, too...just watch out for the lightning!

When I told my vet that I needed a new Lantus script and that I was hoping I could find someone to sell the pens individually, he asked if I had checked online. I told him I had done a little looking, but not much. He said that he usually finds insulin for $70, sometimes $30. (I chuckled a little in my mind). I asked him what insulin he typically suggests and he said Novolin. @-) He said that he had one other client who used Lantus. Had Shasta not been so freaked out and crazy, I would have loved to speak to him more about Lantus. :YMSIGH:

Liz, when I run my errands tomorrow, I'll see if I can find a pharmacy that might be willing to sell the pens as singles. I'm really hoping her appy starts picking up soon. Just when I think she's eating well, she stops and won't eat any more. ugh!

Ok, off to sleep so that I can wake up and chase my cat around with a bowl of food at 6am.
