Don't worry, Wendy, it's probably a little food bump. Levemir won't onset for another few hours, so I'd test again around +3.

When I give Ruby her shot, I tent her fur, put the needle into the tent and hold it in there for about 5 seconds (or as long as she will let me :rolleyes:) with the plunger pushed in all the way. When I pull the needle out, I give that area a little massage and then sniff her fur. If I don't smell insulin, I know it all went in.

I had no idea insulin had a smell.

Would the Vetsulin smell similar? I kinda wanna squirt some of it on a paper towel and give it a whiff now.

Shes eating dinner right now, some nice 0% Tikicat, and gonna shoot her the drop and make sure it actually gets INTO her this time.

This is the lowest I've shot her since she went crashing a few weeks ago. Kinda nervous, but hopefully it goes smoothly.

I hope I got it into her. I caught myself accidentally tapping the plunger as I was inserting the needle in. These specific needles I got go up to 30u, and they feel so much smaller than the longer/girthier u40 needles I was using before, and the actual needle length is shorter. I need to maybe like, practice on a tomato or something lol, so dumb.

She was at 69 @ +2

Give her the rest of her LC dinner, bust out the MC, or just wait and see how she rides it?

Haven't administered food yet. Gonna see how this plays out for the time being. Nvm, she started sitting at her food bowl area, so shes definitely wanting more dinner. More 0% Tiki cat, so I dont think it will mess with her numbers too drastically. Just a little, since I dont want her too full incase I need to get MC/HC into her later.

Stick to LC. Use a slightly higher carb one if necessary.
After some time you should have more info on when her onset ad nadir are and can use food accordingly to navigate the cycle.

Just did that, she made the decision for me, haha. A little more 0% TikiCat.

This feels like a game of Russian Roulette.
