Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (lots of 10 hour energy Elsa, please, road trip!), and Happy Monday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! Bug and Lola have enrolled in kitty culinary school. It was either that or Maui's boot camp. I dunno about all of this, it is kinda weird, all online and stuff. HUH? I thinks Maui's boot camp would have been better. So nows I gotta make sure they don't mess of the 'puter... they is kinda messy ya know. And this culinary school: It's called the School of Nanners. HUH? I thinks the rookies don't know what a nanner is. Mannie - pay them no heed! so. well. anyways. onwards! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espresso, beans from high in the Andes Mountains, and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Cimmamum infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cimmamum whip garnished with cimmamum sprinkles and white chocolate curls. Mannie sure does have great recipes! oh yeah - it's got a dollop of cimmamum and chocolate swirl ice cream .... YUM!

Lola and Bug are such fun. We had what was a past-time here reinstated yesterday: A whack-a-thon!. Not nearly as good as Mannie's and Elsa's and BJ's, but I'll take it! It's a start. :lol: Seems they all wanted to sniff the outside, and one thing led to another so a whack-a-thon was started to determine the winner. LOL: it was a draw. no one moved or changed position. Last night we had another first. Elsa was walking up the stairs, and had to walk right next to Lola. She stopped, looked at Lola, and proceeded to sniff. Lola returned the gesture and the next thing I knew they were nose to nose. No hissing, no fighting, just a nose touch and then they both went on their way. YaHOO!!!! We are integrated! 100%!! :cool: I took some more photos of the troops yesterday, just for fun: The Three Musketeers!. The album also includes some taken the other day when Nicholas was here.

Yesterday I took an early morning hike to the shore, like at 7AM. It is such an incredible time to be there. I hiked through the woods, and found that the tide was out when I got to the shore. I was able to explore quite a bit then, plus have a very nice shore walk - a few miles north, and then a few miles south. YaHOO! and (!!!) I had the place all to myself.It was a nice time down there. Morning light makes everything see so calm. Quite pretty. The heron were out in force . I love to watch those guys. They were fishing the break, catching some small fish. In this album is a video of some barnacles that I found in a small pool on top of a rock that had been exposed when the tide went out. Watch it if you can - I find these guys fascinating. The video is little wobbly - it was hard to hold the camera over the edge of the rock, and not dunk it in the water, but be close enough that you could see them working. These barnacles are very tiny. Warning: I took a ka-zillion photos too. :lol: Anyways.... : Meadowdale, Early Morning

Morning Michelle, great pics of all three kitties. Lola is amazing with her climbing skills on the narrow ledge there in your kitchen. :lol: When they sleep, you can tell they are really played out to the max. Love the end pics of Elsa there. I'm so glad she has adjusted to Lola and Bug and letting them kind of be the lead kitties there. I bet Mannie will lead them to really good whack-a-thons. Beautiful pics of your shore walk and cool with the barnacles on top of a rock. I've never seen anything like it.

Have a great desert hike, Michelle. Is it a very long distance to your destination .

Have a wonderful hike today. I loved your shore pictures. Low tide offers so many cool things to see. I know who sent the beautiful clouds and sunbeams shining through the trees.

Elsa, Lil Bit... whooo hooo this morning. Cimmamon and white chocolate swirls.. it's almost too pretty to drink :thumbup :RAHCAT I hope you can keep your puter up and running with your rookies working on it. :lol: :lol: I hope they don't get too much nip on the keys.

That's so sweet that Elsa and Lola have nosed up and passed and ok on each other. sounds like all is good at your digs.

Hi everyone! I have just returned from my adventure in Eastern Washington. I went to a place called Frenchman Coulee, just outside of Vantage Washington, near the Columbia River. It was a desert coulee hike, with a very nice waterfall at the end. Sure were alot of wildflower4s blooming too. What I particularity enjoyed about this hike was the rock formations that make up the walls of the coulee. They were truly outstanding. I have read that many come here for rock climbing adventures. I did in fact see a few doing that, mainly on the rock formations that were on the access road to the coulee. On eh way home I stopped in at Gold Creek Pond, at Snoqualmie Pass. Nicholas and I have been there a few times in the past. It is a 1.5 miles loop hike, that loops around the pond. The pond itslef is ever so pretty, with mountains that frame it. Absolutely a stunning area, and was such a nice topper for a great day. I will post the Picassa link in tomorrow's Loose Lips.

My DS and I are off tonight to a grad party for one of his friends, a former swim team member, who just graduated from UMinn. I doubt that I will be able toget to condos tonight. I am sorry I have missed so many of you. I hope your day has been a good one!

HI Ann - THX! I liked this set of photos: some very nice ones there. I know on Lola - she climbs everywhere. I so hope that as she leaves the kitten phase that will lessen some. :shock: :roll: :roll: Me too on Elsa - that is so nice to see. a big YAY there. THX on the barnacle video - it is kinda cool to see what they actually do! THX on today's hike - it was fun. A rather long ways to go: 2.5 hour drive, but the drive itself is very nice. Love the Mtn Pass!

Things are moving along quite nicely there...Whack-a-thons, sniffing and no hissing - yay! Lola really is the little gymnast, isn't she?

Mornings are great. Before Trix's diagnosis, we used to go for early morning bike rides...it is definitely very peaceful then. Now, of course, mornings are purely for catching up on sleep, if possible :roll: . Oh well, she's worth it!

Looking forward to tomorrow's pics, I'm putting my 10 hour energy order in early, and have a wonderful time at the party tonight!!
 
Glad to hear the kitties are 100% integrated. I don't have time to look at the pictures now, but will check them out later. I hope you had a good "desert" hike today.

Your pictures of your shore walk are stunning. Have you ever won a photo contest? Your stuff is top notch. The barnacles were amazing. It was like watching little geothermal mud pots erupt. And, yes, Mannie certainly sent you that wonderfully sunny day.

So great that the kitties had their first whack-a-thon. Did Elsa show them how to do it? Maybe BJ's spirit was strong yesterday :smile:

Your hike today sounded like a really interesting one. Will look forward to the pics. Enjoy your evening with your son and friends.

I love to go there and find them working - fascinating! Yes on Elsa and the whack-a-thon. She did start it. Perhaps with BJ as their cheerleader? :-D THX on the hike - it was a blast! hope you like the photos today. THX on last night too - we had a really great time.
