Hi guys .. yes, another nice start for gus! Leveling off will come in time .. you have heard of the famous patience pants we all wear, right? Have a great weekend guys!

Re: 6/3 Gus AMPS 237/+2=291

I might be vaguely aware of patience pants. But, I've a funny feeling that I'll be wearing them more often now

He is looking good!!! Let's see if he'd like to make a foray onto the 1st floor!! Champ might not make if there today, but every time I saw that, he surprises me!

Have a great day, Bev :-D

I'm not convinced his mouth is 100%. His #s have been a little higher than when he's healthy. Or not (?) I don't know any more!

Dear Bev
My name is Patti n my cat Merlin was an acro kitty diagnosed back in 2005 awhile before much was known. I'm sorry I'm so late to things. I'm actually in a campground now but just learned that u and ur kitty just got the + back on the IGF 1 test. So I'm one if the older acro moms and altho I didn't use lantus or lev I still keep up on what goes on. I dont know if u have had a chance to read any of the documents I wrote up with the help of all the others but there is some info that may b useful to u. Also I put together a calendar of all our acro kitties n stay in touch with Dr Lynn who does research of acromegaly. I will write u more when I get home but I wanted to let u know I am thinking if u and ur boy and always wishing you the best. Please forgive my typing as I am on my phone
Xxx
Patti and always in my heart Merlin

what I'm noticing on Gus' spreadsheet is more flatness (anti-jinx). I think that is a good thing. Sure, flat is nicer when it is in lower numbers, but once you get them flattened out then sometimes it is easier to just keep tweaking the dose until the whole range starts to shift downward. Of course sometimes it is not that easy!

I really like what you have been doing with Gus. Even when he does zoom up, you have been able to get him down fairly quickly and usually without setting off an even bigger bounce.

If his mouth is still healing, that can definitely affect the numbers. Hopefully it will keep getting better.
