Yesterday's Condo

Gabby has a new behavior. It seems like she has a highly refined internal clock. I find her sitting or lying near her bowl whenever it's food time. I guess she's letting me know what her priorities are.

So I'm finding out with my new job that parking is an issue. Until today, we were able to park in a lot that's adjacent to the building where I work. Someone, in their infinite wisdom, has decided that the 2 lots (not one but two) that are adjacent to the building should be for visitor parking. Never mind that as a faculty member I pay more for parking than I did in Chicago. For that privilege, I will now have to trek across campus to the next nearest garage which is probably a 15 min. walk -- and that's if the lot's not full. I have no doubt that between finding the lot and walking across campus that someone will need to leave a trail of breadcrumbs for me or I'll be hopelessly lost.

That's too bad about the parking.
I hope you get better parking arrangements during the winter ice and snow and in the summer during thunder and lightening storms.

I have a hard time writing have a good day now, because I probably just ruined it :roll:

Ah Gabby, a girl has to have her priorities... food s a good one. I hope your mama bean is on time. ;-)

Wow on the parking. That is mega crazy... what a hassle huh. I hope that somewhere along the line that those "in charge" realize that they need to take care of their employees too. It was the same when I was working too... the garages where we supposedly got the space and the "deal" on pricing kept getting farther and farther away, and with that up went the pricing too. I finally gave up and became a bus riders. ;-)

Oh no! What a poopy situation with parking. That is the only thing that I do not miss about college...parking. I would purposely sign up for the earliest classes so that I HAD to get up and get to campus early just so that I could get a parking spot in a lot nearest the school of music. That makes no sense that they will not allow employees to park in either of those 2 lots.

Shasta's internal clock is similar to Gabby's. They are so smart. My old dog used to do that...we would give her a milk bone at 8pm every night towards the last few years of her life. She got to the point that out of a dead sleep, she would wake herself up and come sit by one of us at 7:55pm and give us the eyes. It was always funny trying to explain to her the time change of Daylight's Saving!!!! :? :lol:
