Yesterday's condo
So far, China's doing great today! :mrgreen: I really meant to get a later test, but ended up out longer than hoped with DM and didn't make it home until almost PMPS..but at least I made it tonight!
The story of yesterday...Had to take DM in for her EMG in Jefferson City (about 60 miles). Appointment was a 2 and we sat there waiting to be called in until after 3:15...Finally got in, got the test done and they didn't find anything, which really upset her. She's been complaining about numbness and tingling in her ring and pinky fingers and it was bothering her a lot. Now we still have no answers, which is really frustrating for her. We finally got out a little after 4 and I'd wanted to run to a grocery store in town to grab a few things that I can't get in the stores around here, so we headed over there. I just ran in and got the things I wanted, and we were ready to head back home.
Got DM back to her apartment about 5:45 (China's shot is due at 6) and went to trade cars, and noticed my phone was gone. By the time I got back to her apartment, I realized I must have left it in the basket of the handicapped cart I'd used at the store! Used her phone to call the store, and they said they hadn't seen it, and nobody had turned it in (at this point, I figured I'd be seeing charges for long distance calls to Timbuktu) but told mom to give me a minute to get back to the car, and then call my phone (in case it had dropped between the seats or something)....Was met with total silence at the car. Ran to the AT&T store to ask if there was anything they could do, and because I hadn't paid for a monthly "protection plan", they said they could sell me a new phone ($400 and up) but there wasn't any way to get all the information stored on my phone onto a new one. Used their phone to call my son to tell him I'd told the grocery store that if they found it, to call him (since he lives about 4 blocks away and could come let me know) and he said they'd already called! YEAH!!!
By now, it was past 6, so I still had to run home, test/feed/shoot China and then back out the door I went! Another 2 hour drive to go pick up the phone! I guess that when DM had called it numerous times for me to listen for it in the car, whoever was in the handicapped cart heard it ringing and turned it in. I was so happy to have it back though! The only way DM has to get ahold of me is through that phone, and even her "I've fallen and I can't get up" thingy is tied into the phone. I can see when she's in her apartment, when she's "out and about" and I get notified when she comes/goes or if she hits the "panic" button.
Anyway, by the time I got home, it was almost 9 and I still hadn't done a condo...and then I spent quite a long time telling my sad story, just to accidentally hit a wrong key and send it off into cyberspace!
I sure hope China will surf safely tonight. I really need the sleep!
