Last night Sammy dropped from 269 to 195 at +3 and then it appears that he surfed most of the night, but I didn't get a check on him mid cycle. I am assuming tonight's PMPS could possibly by a bounce from lower numbers last night. Hopefully that is all it is. Fingers, toes and paws crossed.

If it is not a bounce than it makes me wonder if there is something more going on. I called the new vet this evening and have scheduled an appointment for Wednesday evening. It is the first day the doctor, I want to see, is working. My friend recommended him to us. Her cat is also diabetic, diagnosed after the first time Sammy was diagnosed, and she really loves the vet. Hopefully he will be able to help us discover what is going on.

I am going to ask for a round of antibiotic to see if that helps as well. If his numbers come down while on antibiotic then we know it is an infection even if there isn't anything showing up in his bloodwork. Every other time he has had a round of antibiotic within 1-2 doses his numbers start to drop.

I am going to try to get a few tests tonight, last night I figured that it would take time for the depot to fill and he probably wouldn't have to active of a cycle.

Hopefully this is just a bounce or maybe some NDW from restarting. Did you happen to retest at PMPS to see if it was a wonky test or strip? How is Sammy feeling otherwise? Sending prayers that he settles down quickly and easily!!
