Can I just forget yesterday? Please.....?? Well - it was one of Mannie's "resting days": yellows and pinks ruled the roost. :YMSIGH: I believe that in part caused by the higher carb fuds to keep him in the upper greens during the day before - same thing happened on 6/20, another green day where he was fed 14-18% foods. hmmmm...... Thanks Barbara for pointing that out. I think going forward we will try and keep him in the lower carbs, providing I can be home to monitor, and see how he responds when down in the 50-60 number range. Maybe that will help avoid, or at least lessen, days like yesterday. Worth a try.... and paws crossed! Lubs ya Mannie! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. We had a game of who can whack who the best last night while I was getting fuds in the bowl. :shock: Mannie would whack BJ :o , BJ whacked Elsa :shock: , BJ and Elsa whacked Mannie :roll: , Mannie in turn retaliated :cool: :razz: :lol: :lol: , it was a whack-a-thon! for about 10 minutes.... :lol: :lol: Dang that was funny! We didn't get much sun yesterday, but it was warm. All the kitties spent most of the day outside on the deck - sleeping... even the Manster. I am waiting for the day when he takes a nanner outside for his nap-a-thons in the sun. :lol: :lol: So far?: no way! We had a great test feed shoot this AM, no fuds dance though - bummer on that... CPC status has been maintained, bowl was licked clean, followed by a marathon face wash, Must have been good fuds! Yep- all is well in MannieLand!

So here we are -Wednesday. and DGS duties begin for the week. I hope to make condos, forgive me if I cannot. I am thinking of you all, hope your kitties are doing well. Think GREEN kitties!

Hey everybody! What's up??? I sure liked the beach time at Moonie's yesterday - awesome!! Thanks to all that came for KTSS for Gracie, who had a vetty appt. I think she is OK.... whatcha wanna do today? I'm kinda tired, maybe we can just hang out some... Let's me know! OH!!!!! Wait - it's Tray's birthday today! We should bake him one of our famous cinnamon birthday cakes - party time!! ~~ Mannie

Hi Michelle, Well, some days are just like that. And this is now a good time to start some new food experiments, trying to get away from the HC unless absolutely necessary.
Have a good day with Nicholas and I hope that the weather will cooperate. Here I had to cancel, yet again, the bike ride. That ride is cursed!!

Hi Michelle, so funny with the kitty whacking. I think the hc is what is going on with Mannie, and you will get him back on track in no time. Enjoy your day with DGS. We have cloudy weather, too, part of our June gloom weather, still pleasant though.

Hi Mannie, yes a party for Tray sounds like fun. I can do all the clean-up work with the cake bake and sample all the drinks and also act as a cake sampler, too! Am I bad or what! :lol: Maggie P.S. I'll also bring my catnip chips and special recipe dip.

These are much lovlier numbers than yesterday, good luck feeding the lower carb food during those greens. It's scary though.

Tray is excited to hear all his friends are coming to celebrate his b-day and cinnamon cake, yummy! He hopes to see Mannie there as he's always the life of the party

Hi Ella - yes, some days are.... and I agree on the food experiments. think I will, try to avoid the HC stuff (unless it is unavoidable), stick with the 10% and under and see how it goes. Thanks on Nicholas - I had hoped to travel for a hike with him today, but the weather is just too iffy. So we will hike the trails here at home, and go to the shoreline, where we have another minus tide. The weather should be great by friday, so we will do our travel hike then. :cool: :razz: -- and bummer on your ride! sheshhhhh - this is the third cancel, yes?

Hi Ann - oh yes on that whacking last night. I wish I had the camera - it would have been so worth it. Darn funny! I think so too on the HC with Mannie - it could very well be that he really doesn't need it anymore, except for extreme situations. Next green visit in the beginning stages of a cycle we shall stay with the LC/low MC and see what happens. and thanks on DGS - local walk trough the woods today, low tide at the shore - it should be good, even with cloudy weather.

Glad to see Mannie back in blue headed for the lagoon!!! I hear you on the HC foods...I do think they have an effect a little longer than we may suspect but that's just me coming up with some excuse :lol:

Mannie...I'm much better after the KTSS...thanks for bringing the krewe by; now Teddi needs it...her moufie still hurts!! My bean booted me off the bed today!!! She said it was an "accident" but I think she's mad at me for my high numbers...whatever that is. Tobes and me are alone now..daddy took Teddi to the vet....maybe we should help make Tray's birthday cake!

Hi Melissa - oh yes... even Mannie is not immune from the yellow and the pink days.... we still get them. oh too funny on whack-a-mole - I remember that.... the whack-a-thon here though was funnier. :lol: and thanks - had a great time with DGS - a walk to the shore, which was nice, windy(!!) but nice.

Hi Marje - I know on the foods. I am beginning to believe that there is a "lingering" effect with these foods. You can see it on Mannie's SS. More often than not when I've had a green cycle where I've gone with the 14%, or even the 18% the next day we spend yellow and pink. granted I don't use 18% much anymore, we haven't had to go there. I rely on the 14% one though, not too sure I can get around that - guess we shall see. -- yep, I guess whacking can be playing - but ya gotta see it - (I Know, I need video) they SIT there, and out comes the paw: WHACK, back down goes the paw. that is the only thing that moves. :lol: :lol: :lol: and YES on DGS - a mini hike - good times!

Hi Michelle. I have 2 kitties who have a whack-a-thon at each meal. I used to scold them, but it made no difference. Now, I just let 'em go for it. Glad to see Mannie improved over yesterday. Days like that can be soooooo long!

Hi Barbara - I do too - so far it's a nice gentle drop into the mid greens - I hope he sets up a surf soon. The weather is gray, gloomy, but no rains yet I had intended to take him to whidbey today, but the radar there showed rains, so we will postponed. We went down to the shore here at home - it's a 5 miler, and he likes it., while there we could see whidbey way out there - covered with very dark and ugly clouds... so, glad we didn't go. Sun is predicted for FR, so we will try then.

perhaps mannie doesn't take his precious nanners outside because of The Risk Of Theft Or Other Bad Things Happening To The Nanners. that could be. :lol:
