Good Afternoon, All,

I had to take my car in to have new brakes installed very early this morning, so I'm a bit late with Rusty's condo. He seems to have had a nice morning (AMPS test, shot, breakfast all were good) and he and DH were sitting on the back stoop when I got home. At the moment he is chillaxin in a camp chair by the window on the front porch. I'm getting ready to take Edward to the chiropractor. When we get back I'll take Rusty outside again. Shadow wasn't around this morning.

I had a nice walk in the countryside near Lake Placid while waiting for my car to get fixed. Beautiful vistas of the Great Peaks (Mt. Marcy and Mt. Algonquin, the two highest of the High Peaks, dominated the view).

Very even today, but how about a little green Rusty? When are you going paddling again?

Now that is a picture perfect condo, except for the car problem! Happy kitty, happy beans and a beautiful view to boot! Plus I love seeing my chiropractor, a good back crack makes the day even better!!

i was just thinking what melissa said - what a perfect image! it sounds beautiful where you are!

hope you got away without spending a fortune on your car. which reminds me, i need my oil changed!

Hi again,
After the chiropractor we had a nice afternoon outside, waiting for the thunderstorms to arrive. Rusty fell asleep in the warm, humid aid. A friend of mine who had been to a farm picking strawberries brought us a quart of berries that she had picked 20 minutes before! They were so good! The storms arrived this evening and I'm hoping they will be out of here by tomorrow morning, since I am scheduled to lead the bike ride that I have had to postpone twice so far!

At +9 I usually give Rusty a little Wellness turkey, but today I decided to see if he would like the canned chicken chunks from the health-food store (just chicken, water and very low sodium). Well, he gobbled up 3 of them!! I guess he liked them. Since his numbers weren't moving at all today, I decided to save a strip and only did the PMPS test: 129, exactly the same as yesterday. I would like to see more greens, but I'm not going to rock the boat until after Canoe Outing--our annual "vacation". Rusty will be on his own between AMPS and PMPS for most of the week of 17 July and I don't want to worry about his numbers getting too low.

Looks like Rusty had a decent day. But no Shadow?

Your walk this morning sounds very nice - I bet the views were really great.

Oh boy on the weather and your bike ride. I do hope they stop, the storms that is, so you can finally get out on that ride.

Rusty - I snuck a peak at your condo - you get to go to camp for a whole week???????????? oh boy! Can we come and visit and stuff and hang out on your porches there?? And go fishing and stuff? and cook while your bean are paddling??? I dunno if I can wait three weeks.... OK, back to the beach party. Dude! we need more hot dogs! ~~ Mannie
