Magnolia is doing great. She's eating well and acting quite happy. Is it possible that her "normal" range is right around 100? I have read different ranges for normal, the protocol says 50-80, her vet says 80-200, I guess I'm just not sure if she is doing well without the insulin.

You are right. Some kitties just run in a higher normal range. BigMac is like that too. I was envious of kitties that got 50's and 60's on their OTJ trials. My kitty was in the higher range. I used these numbers as his 'perfectly normal' numbers: 60 -120.

Therefore, Yipee for Magnolia!

Any chance of a before bed test tonight? I'm curious where she's going, but I think she looks fine. Way better than the 130's last week.

Her PMBG is her before bed...it's at midnight and I don't think I can stay up past then. I can get a +9 and a PMBG tonight if that will help.

ahhh, but it doesn't have to be at midnight, you're not shooting so 12 hours doesn't really matter. What I'm looking for is to see if she is going down at any point during the day, or if she is staying around 100 all the time. I don't know if it even matters if she is going down, because her numbers are great, but I'm curious whether different times of day would show different numbers. It does make a difference for Lucy, regardless of when I feed.

I see what you mean Libby. I haven't noticed a definitive pattern yet. I checked her +9...115, but I was chasing her around with a camera just before that and she was grumpy. I'm not sure if I annoyed her enough for her BG to go up.

I'm not going to mention any party to her just yet, but I think it's ok to get started on the cooking! :smile:
 
PMBG 91

There she went! 91 is a nice number. She was starving by the time midnight came around. She really likes to graze. She prefers to eat every hour or so, tiny amounts, often.
