Yesterday's Condo

Looks like Gabby surfed in blue for yesterday's PM cycle. I thought she was going back up but I guess not.

I woke up to a good sized pukus in the hallway and the +9 snack sitting in the feeder. There was also liquipoo in the box. Gabby's still taking metronidazole so I don't know what's going on. I gave her some Pepsid this AM and will re-start the FortiFlora. I'm going to call the vet in a bit. I think there may be an ultrasound in Gabby's future since all of the labs have been negative. She was interested in food but didn't eat her usual amount and was playing with a catnip sock.

Re: 6/28 Gabby AMPS~154

awww, sorry Ms. Gabby doesn't feel to well this morning. I hope you can get the U/S scheduled soon so that you can find out if there is anything wrong with her. At least she is starting off her day in a nice medium blue, she feels well enough to eat some and to play some. Those are good things.

Feel better Gabby! I know it's Monday, but Tuesday will be here soon!

Cheryl, to answer your question in Spot's condo from yesterday: Spot has been on AB's since 6/18 for his teeth. I noticed an odor coming from his mouth during a kitty kissing session and called the vet and got that ball rolling. I think it was a combo of the shots and the infection driving up his numbers that made him feel out of sorts yesterday because he is feeling better today. Thanks for stopping in his condo!

Hey Gabby girl, great amps and a good play. That's good! But I hope your tummy will feel better today and that your appetite will come back. Would you like me to come over with some chicken soup? I'll get a free-range chicken just for you.

Stu

Hi Sienne, Hope your visit to the vet will set your mind at ease.

Well, she's been eating just fine and no pukus or frequent runs to the LB. And, her numbers are great! The vet or one of the nurses will call back -- it's my vet's surgery day.

Re: 6/28 Gabby AMPS~154, +2~109, +3~82

Good day for Gabby so far, but I hope her appetite improves soon and she's back to normal. Glad she isn't puking or giving the LB lots of business.

Looks like she's feeling better already! Hope she got the yucks out of her system.

Great AM cycle for Gabby. I think her numbers would have gone lower but she was getting some HC given how early the greens were appearing. I've got my fingers crossed that her PMPS isn't the beginning of a bounce!

I talked to one of the vet nurses. I somehow think there is a bit of a communication issue between the vet and the staff. When I went in to pick up meds for Gabby on 6/18, I brought in a fecal sample. They were going to check for parasites and if that was negative, have a culture run. Part I was done. Today, the vet was suggesting I get a fecal culture. (On phone; bean rolling eyes.) I explained that this should have been done with the sample I'd dropped off. (Nurse flipping furiously through chart.) She starts apologizing that the info is in the chart -- in other words, there's a chart note and doctor's order and someone dropped the ball. Someone should be calling me to sort this out.

Im glad she started feeling better today.
Nice job with the numbers...and yes, lets hope this is not the BEGINNING of the bounce.

Sorry to hear about the mix up with the vet. Hmmmm...maybe get a free poop culture out of it? How many people can say that have had that kind of luck?!?!

Re: 6/28 Gabby AMPS~154, PMPS~242

Yeah.... re: communication issue! i do that too!!!
Looks like the beautiful Gabby girl is learning to swim... that's always nice!
Sending good appetite and no liquipoo vines to Chicago for Ms. Gabby!

Re: 6/28 Gabby AMPS~154, PMPS~242

I imagine that happens quite frequently with large hospitals with large staff.

I hope they figure out the diarrhea soon. poor thing. I dont' remember... has she been tested for p-itis?

Re: 6/28 Gabby AMPS~154, PMPS~242

I'm guessing this means you have to get a second sample? In return for your trouble, I think the vet should pull out the magic wand and just make Gabby feel all better. Deal?

Re: 6/28 Gabby AMPS~154, PMPS~242, +2~237

Gabby ate reasonably well at dinner. She walked away from her second course but came back after she bathed in the dining room. (Silly cat - doesn't she know you bathe after dinner?) And, surprisingly, the deposit in the LB is normapoo.

Cyn - she had an fPLI run on 6/8 and it was just fine. (1.1 with <3.5 = normal) In fact, all of her labs were fine (they are on a tab in Gabby's SS.) Unless she was symptomatic and it's not showing up in her labs, it's not p'titis.

Did they do the test when she was having symptoms of a flare? Cosmo has gotten an fPLI of over 30, but the previous one was borderline. The first fPLi test was when he was a few days out from flare, the second was smack dab during.

Plus, I guess the fPLI sometimes gives a false negative. UGH.

Fortiflora should do the trick though. I hope her tummy feels better soon!!

YAY for normapoo!
