Champ had me convinced yesterday that there was something terribly wrong with him. He was acting very unlike himself, so lethargic he was almost comatose, strange mannerisms, sleeping in the closet, etc. It was only after having a hormonal breakdown was I able to realize that he went from an 81 to 330 in the space of eight hours...that has to take a toll on hislittle rotund body and I shouldn't expect him to act like everything is hunky dory. It isn't. He's sick. He will have bad days and good days. I need to stop getting myself worked up and imaging him at death's door. Thanks, Marje, for letting me cry and then making me laugh. I was completely better after our talk!!! I know I'm not the only one you talk down from taking a header off the end of a cliff (Carla). There's a special place in heaven for people like you who give their time to others selflessly and for no other reason except to help. I love ya like a sister!!! Maybe more cuz my sister tunes me out when I talk about Champ!!!
Champ is acting more like himself this morning. He ate his 1st and 2nd meals with a good appetite and is currently finding tidbits of past treats in the carpet of my office and is having himself a mini snack. I promised him a good brushing and play time sometime today. Play time with Champ is going to be recorded and posted so you can all see that it's me playing and him wondering "why the heck are you dangling that thing in my face, can't you see I don't give a crap?"
I thought maybe the B12 was making Champ act unwell yesterday before I realized his wonky numbers. I was going to cut back to 3 mg a day, but after observing him walking today, I'm not going to reduce. His wobbly legs have improved, I'm just sure of it, and I don't want to take a chance of setting him back. Plus, he's walking more on his feet rather than the wrists and down toward the hocks; not all the time, but he does sometimes so I really think it's working!!
I didn't visit any condos yesterday because I just wasn't good company, but I hope to visit some later this morning after I finish up one more account that has a deadline of 10 am.
I hope everyone has a really terrific Tuesday!!!
