Good morning, Lantus Land! This is Liz. I haven't posted Zener's condo for so long I've almost forgotten. Almost! It's all coming back to me. :lol: :lol:

Well, well, well, it looks like Zener might have surfed the blues last night again. Yahoo! Blue IS my favorite color. He took his meds in the pill pockets just fine this morning. I told him to just swallow, not chew. :lol: :lol:

Thinking of Mannie and Michelle (paws crossed on the vet report), Roni, Lyresa, and others who are ailing and sad. We are VERY excited about the OTJ trials for Mr. Kink and Buca. Looking good! We are impressed with the newbies who are taking a deep breath then shooting lower numbers and doing the testing to keep their kitties safe. You will be so glad you did.

OT: Thank you for all the birthday wishes here and on FB. I really appreciate your kindness. :-D :-D

My first thought was: WOW - Blue to Green in 1 hour?! Impressive! My second thought was: (80) at +2??? :o nailbite_smile Scary! Looking forward to the day that won't scare me and I'll feel comfortable handling it.

Well good grief, one of those dropping green days when the big guy is not interested in his fuds. The roofers working on a house behind us may be part of it. So, we added in some appy stimulant to get some fuds in the big guy before we have to be out for a bit this afternoon. ohmygod_smile nailbite_smile

We have to be out for a short while and will come back and get another test to make sure he isn't dropping more. Our house cleaner wil be here soon, so under the bed the kitties will go and no nom nom nom, they get too nervous.

Keep up the nice numbers Zener! Liz, it's so nice to have these kind of numbers to post on your first morning posting for a while. Now if only the appy thing wasn't getting in the way. Eat Zener - the beans have a reason for presenting all the nummy fuds to you.

Yuck on roofers. Neko always dives under the bed too.

@Wendy - the big guy is reading his condo again and following your instructions on the good numbers. We think his appy was iffy because there was too much noise and commotion today - he was nervous as a cat! :shock:

@Amy - we added a sliver of appy stimulant to get some nom nom nom with those low numbers today. He is much more relaxed this evening as all is quiet and roofers are gone for the day. It usually takes them 2-3 days to do the whole job so tomorrow is day 2. Maybe they will be super fast! :roll:

What a noisy and unpleasant day for Zener (though his numbers were great) - roofers making noise in the backyard and our house cleaner day with vacuuming. We went out for lunch with a friend, but dashed home to check him as he was a little low and was not eating great. We carbed him quite a bit mid-cycle but aren't seeing a big bounce yet. All quiet now, so backyard rounds are in full swing. Poo patrol is on watch! :lol:

@Michelle & Mannie - we don't see these beautiful green with blue bookended cycles often, so it was a real treat! We've been thinking about you and Mr Man all day, and just saw the vet report. I betcha there are folks here who will know what all those lab reports mean! Hey Mannie, I hoping you feel better and are eating your fuds. I know what that feels like and it worries my beans so bet it worries yours too. Is that pizza gluten-free or the real deal? I'm a coming over! My beans only eat that gluten free thing. - Zener

Major big action here and not just of the BG variety! ohmygod_smile

We saw Zener in supreme serious stalking mode and then he made his special CH creep and lunge. I told Liz "Zener's got something in his mouth, I think it's a bird." (This has happened 3 times total in Zener's life.) He made a beeline for the back porch to show his beans his good hunting skills. He dropped the fledgling finch and it tried to fly, only a few inches off the ground and more chase action ensued with Tillie trying to get into the action. Liz got both kitties inside and I managed to corral the bird and it hopped out of my hands over the tall wooden fence into our neighbor's cat free backyard, where hopefully its parents will find it. We noticed the big guy sitting in his "satisfied hunting pose" and there was a small feather hanging from his chin. :lol: Liz got a picture or two, will post later.

And on the BG action front - another spectacular drop early this cycle. :shock:
