Happy Caturday everyone! Lulu has been pretty feisty lately when I try to get a BG test, so when I got an error message this morning, I went ahead and shot and fed, took the test at +1.5. The greens the other day must have been an anomaly, as she's been fairly flat in the blues. I'm thinking that I'll increase to .5f tomorrow, depending upon how she does today. If any of you think I should go back to .75u, please let me know. TIA

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and for those affected -- stay safe in this heat wave.

Thanks Carla and Marilyn. Hot day out today, so no hiking; instead doing errands -- going from air-conditioned car to air-conditioned stores. Picked up cat harnesses and leashes today, Lulu needs more exercise so I thought I`d start taking her for short walks. Well, Otis and Coco weren`t thrilled with the harness, but once we got outside, they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Lulu, on the other hand, became a woman-eating tiger :nailbiting:, not happy and not all that thrilled about the great outdoors, at least not while attached to Mama with a leash. She even escaped the harness :arghh:, so will have to do some adjustments and tighten things up. I shall not give up!

Okay, I`ll take one tomorrow; need to let my wounds heal overnight :blackeye:
Just kidding, but Lulu looked like she would have loved to claw, bite and tear me to ribbons. But she wouldn`t hurt her Mama, thank heavens :)

yikes on getting out of harness.....
I would never be able to take Shadow on a leash ... and if anything happen to her I'd be beside myself..... we have way too many coyotes....
fortunately, she doesn't want to go out anyway. Good girl...

sorry about fur shot... sounds like you'll definitely be increasing...

When I take them out, I watch them like a hawk. Don`t laugh, but I think I will wear my bear spray when I take them outside (I do a lot of hiking in bear territory, so have bear spray in a holster). We occasionally get coyotes, but I worry more about the hawks. And some neighbours who let their dogs out off leash which is ILLEGAL. I love animals but I would have no qualms about using bear spray on a dog who was aggressive with my babies.

Darn fur shot -- Lulu just tested in the yellow. Tomorrow starts a dosage of .5f, I`ll be home all day to monitor.

Ah well, fur shots happen. A wise LL-er once wrote on Zener's condo when we first were starting here, "it's one number among thousands". Good luck with the dosecrease!

Good luck with the increase. Paws crossed you see more consistent green with the new dose.

Your Lulu in harness sounds like my Theo. I've only once tried him on a harness and I don't quite no how he managed to get out of it so quickly. He turns into an almost feral cat outside. Now he's strictly an indoor cat, except when he's escaped.
