All good here this morning. Appy happy, yard patrol completed and sun spot napping. Zener and I went BTB after his AM test, feed and shoot routine. Numbers were on their way up after last night's PMPS green number, so the night duty bean did not have late duty. We don't like the stinky pinky start but perhaps the mighty Z will once again return to lovely blue numbers for his MamaLizBean's birthday. Liz is on her way at this very moment from her hotel in Vancouver to meet Wendy & Neko in North Vancouver. What a great way to spend her birthday! :razz:

Vetty visit on tap for this afternoon for the **ahem** anal gland expression. Will report later. KTSS may be needed to help with the vetty smell and the post procedure aroma. ;-)

Thinking of Shai and her beloved Pirate Fitz on the last voyage today. Bon voyage Fitz, safe docking at the bridge where you will be greeted by so many of our beloved family. :YMHUG:

Sending good Vetty vines for Zener. Mags will be along with the KTSS and has some nice lavender lotion to give Zener a massage. Just don't mention it to Vyktor. :lol:

I hope the vet visit went just fine and the vetty smell is wearing off of Zener. I hope you both had a snuggily day :)

Sliding into PMPS despite the vetty visit! And his MamaLizBean's favorite color too! :razz:

All went well at the vet, he was a perfect gentleman. The nurse got stuff from both sides and it expressed fairly easily, for him. Paws crossed we go another full month before a trip to the vetty! He came home and demanded a snack. :cool:

@Melissa & Mr T - Zener is following your instructions. :thumbup And it was great news about SCOTUS rulings, wish it pertained to all states including ours.

@Ann & Tess - very cool pic and sliding he is! We are delighted about today's SCOTUS decisions. dancing_cat

@Ann & Maggie - we have been sticking with the breffis in bed routine. :lol: Record setting temperatures are forecast for us the next four days, so I may stay up after the AMPS routine to open up and cool off the house. Then siesta with the kitties in the hot part of the day. I-) Thanks for sending the KTSS, Zener loves the lavendar!

@Katie - vet visit was very routine, hooray for that! :-D

@Amy & TrixieCat - sliding sliding sliding, keep those BGs sliding. :lol:

@carla - he opened with stinky pinky but didn't stay there long. Verdict still out on the new drop increase. :cool:

@Dyana - what a lovely kitty birthday chorus! :razz: I'm sure a Vancouver report will be coming soon.

@Barb - he definitely seems to be feeling better this evening. He's often sore sore the day after the procedure but it doesn't seem to last too long. And yes, still breffis in bed, but our routine may change a little over the next few hot days. Will see how the night duty bean does with morning activities. :lol:

@Ella & Rusty - thanks for sending the KTSS! I'm not sure Wendy is taking Liz rowing, but I did see a picture of a cake! party_cat

@Cleo & Jane - thanks for the vetty recovery vibes! :-D

@Sienne - you are so right about the indignity of the vetty visit. He was a real trooper. cat_pet_icon

@rhiannon and shadow - ah, the perfect flowers, kitties won't eat them and no water needed! :lol:

@Josie & Ripley - cool shades! Zener wants some to wear to the vet's office as a disguise. :cool:

Liz must be having a fun time with Wendy, Neko and crew. Liz sent me a picture of a chocolate cake, and I'm thinking it was hers. ;-) I'm sure she will enjoy all the birthday wishes when she gets back to her hotel and checks Zener's condo.

Seems weird to be saying Happy Birthday to Liz here - done that already in person plus had some chocolate sweet potato cake for dessert. Ella, no rowing, it's a sport that requires some lessons before you can go out in the boat. And a coach. But I did take her down to the boathouse so she could see where we row. And we found some huckleberries and salmonberries near home. Neko and Theo both said Hello, Neko especially got into the expert scritching. And provided a little extra cat hair on the fleece for Zener to smell when Liz gets home.

It does seem weird to me too. :lol: Thanks for baking her a cake and nom nom nom on chocolate sweet potato cake! Liz is definitely the pied piper of catdom! Zener will love the new cat smells when she gets home. She'll just have to extra careful not to leave her fleece on the floor. Zener has a little pee pee problem with things like that.

@John - Zener was the purrfect gentleman cat at the vetty, despite the nature of the visit! :razz:

Thank you, EVERYONE, for the birthday wishes! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D I was going to put as many happy faces as years but there might not be room. :lol: Me and Wendy and DH and Neko and even Theo had a grand time today! It is so fun to hang out and talk about cats. :lol: The birthday cake was yummy! I had two pieces today already but I am so tempted to have another one now. I think I will save it though.

And then the Supreme Court decisions in favor of same sex marriage, almost as good as that very chocolate icing. :-D We're not all the way there yet, but getting closer. Unfortunately, I think I left my cat-hair infested fleece on the ferry. I hope they have a good lost and found. If not, it wasn't a new fleece. In fact, it was quite old. No holes in the elbows but almost. :lol: :lol: Maybe a tiny piece of cake with some milk will help.
