Hi Debra.... awe Yoyo you are such a good baby-boyhave been hearing him grind his teeth but I am not sure that this tooth is the issue.

I think that is an excellent idea but I don't believe there is a Bd certified dentist in my area. I'll do some research, thank you for the good advise. Many thanks!Hi Debra.... awe Yoyo you are such a good baby-boy
Debra, do you have any board certified Dental Vets... near you? Definitely sounds like issue my gut be resolved by a specialist. I’m just sayin-![]()

Yoyo is not a good eater and with the insulin he must eat...so I have to sit with him at every meal. He will start to eat and then walk away. So either I need to hold the plate of food or I need to hand feed him. Sometimes when he won't take it from my hand I have to actually put the food in his mouth. He actually lets me do it. I fed him after he had his leg removed, I saved his life by doing that. He is a good kitty and he tolerates me feeding him. So that is how I know when something is wrong with his mouth. I wish he would just stop the weird chewing. It started out of nowhere and I wish it would end like it started. One feeding he was fine and then the next feeding this weird thing started.I hope the tooth turns out to be nothing. I’m amazed that you noticed he was preferring once side for chewing... I don’t think I’d notice something like that - Go you
Hopefully the pain meds help.
Feel better soon Yoyo![]()
Yes it looks familiar. Yoyo only does it when eating and for a few seconds and it stops. He does not do it when at rest or not eating. Does she still do that or was she treated?@Debra and Yoyo does look at all familiar?

No she only did that when she was eating either during or after she ate. This is why I thought it was a dental issue. Dr. Peak knew immediately, told me he has seen this many many times that it is not anything to do with Dental it is acid reflux. Then he advised me to discuss with her veterinarian- although I was able to read between the lines he saidthat half pill Pepcid 30 minutes before meal will work but I had to give it some time… A month or so. Nelli rarely, rarely displays this behavior anymoreYes it looks familiar. Yoyo only does it when eating and for a few seconds and it stops. He does not do it when at rest or not eating. Yoyo is so fortunate to have found a human who so carefully and diligently cares for him. I’m really impressed! I haven't started the meds yet. Need to look up side effects.
And the sound... Yes it sounded like she was grinding her teeth. What I thought, was that she had a bad tooth that she was trying to get out of her mouth? Does that sound familiar too?
Yes, he grinds his teeth and my vet also heard it yesterday too!And the sound... Yes it sounded like she was grinding her teeth. What I thought, was that she had a bad tooth that she was trying to get out of her mouth? Does that sound familiar too?

OKAY... I am now definitely with you when you question whether there it is a cracked tooth, TOO! If Yoyo is displaying what you see in video of Nelli- it’s definitely, I say this with confidence, acid reflux. Easily treatedYes, he grinds his teeth and my vet also heard it yesterday too!
