I have no idea what is up with the red. Pink yesterday, red today. Yuck. In spite of all that, Tarragon is feeling happy furry purry. He is going down into the blues at night and maybe the greens after I am asleep. I am not going to worry about it until I get back from vacation on Sunday since DH will be holding down the fort.

Hot hot hot again here today with a high of 108 and a heat index of 115 expected. Triple digits for the next 8 days. Ugh. This is our August weather, so what will August bring? hmmmmm. It might be messing with Tarragon's numbers a little as well as his appy.

Hope you all have a great day!

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

108????  way too hot for me.... I can only imagine what your August will bring. Stay cool.

Sorry for the red this AM - hopefully that will come down today. Maybe the what does bother him? I am with you - wouldn't worry about it until you are back. Enjoy the time away. :-D And Mr T? Down you go - lower floors please.

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Hi guys .. ugh on both the red and the heat! Hopefully tarragon comes down nicely for you today and hopefully the next 8 days pass quickly and then you get a nice cool down! have a great day!

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

I always blame it on the hot weather! High bg, not a good appy... Come down Tarragon!

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Mr. T, can ya bring it down some?!

108 would be a tad warm. We're currently and 66--Maybe we can split the difference? Stay cool today!

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Hi Melissa, I think the heat and humidity can affect them, just like us. That is so hot for this time of year, but I guess it is almost July. Ours will come eventually, too. Mr. T, it's okay to come down some today. Have a good day and keep cool, Melissa, lots of water.

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Come down, T!!! I bet the heat could be bothering him, too, even though he's inside. Interesting that you're having August weather...we're having mid-September weather, with an occasional "July" day thrown in. It is the weirdest summer weather I remember ever having.

Have a great day!!!

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Way too much sizzlin' goin' on in this condo! Can't do much about the weather but, T, maybe dial that BG back a floor or two or three? Where is vacation?

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Hi Melissa. I wouldn't be surprised if the weather is bothering Mr T. Checks acts different when it's unusually hot, and he also is indoors....with AC. Still the barometric pressure is an issue. Checks is miserable in wet weather too.
Looking for your boy to come down nice and slow.

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

I really thought most of June was excellent--cooler than usual--but we also are feeling a touch of August already! Red and pink to go with the HEAT WAVE. Come on down, Mr. Tarragon.

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Ok, Tarragon. What's up with this #, huh? Come on down from there, please. No need to be that high.

We're currently 106 IN the shade (although that may be subject to change because I moved the sensor to where there is air flow to it ) Oh, and it's 11:52 here in central North Texas. You guys stay cool and safe, please.

And no, it's not August. Yet. I'm not looking forward to July, much less August. Late September can't get here soon enough, I tell you.

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Yeah Melissa, Oklahoma's baking, this sand will turn to molten glass any time out there now....my weatherbug just announced 106 but my thermometer outside says 109! Fried brains anyone????

Mr. T! U don' look good in dat red...

HUGS!

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

I hear you Lyresa. Craziness!!! Oklahoma is going to melt off the map. 106 here with a heat index of 114 right now. You too Angela & Texas! Stay cool.

At least we have been under ozone alert all week so you know what that means--jeans every day for work. Woohoo!

Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality has declared an Ozone Alert! for Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area
Persons with lung or heart disease should be aware that increased pollution may cause them to experience adverse health effects. Ozone affects people differently. Symptoms include chest pain, coughing, sneezing, nausea, headache and pulmonary congestion. Active children, adults and especially people with respiratory disease such as asthma should limit prolonged outdoor exertion.

Take Action on Ozone Alert! Days
• Leave your car at home. Walk, bike, carpool or ride the bus (Click here to learn more about Williams subsidy for riding the bus. NOTE: Each employee is allowed either the bus subsidy or the parking subsidy.)
• Avoid long idle times. Walk in rather than drive thru.
• Postpone refueling. Wait until evening or not at all.
• Postpone mowing and using other gas-powered lawn tools.
• Postpone errands. Do them another day.

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Could Tarragon know possibly that you are going away?? That would stress Moonie to the Max!!
Sorry you are having so much hot weather!! We had 70's today..wish we could send you some!!!
Tarragon please come down so your momma can go away not stressed??
We love you & hope you come ON DOWN!! Hugs & love from us!!

Re: 6/26 Tarragon AMPS 401

Oh, wow, on the triple digits! We've been in the mid 90's and melting, but today we're down in the mid 80's. I'm sure our furry friends feel the heat, humidity, etc, even when they're inside.

I do hope his numbers come down some for you; I know we worry when they stay high. How about it Tarragon? Maybe a little yellow? Even a high yellow would be awesome!!

Vacation? Cooler climate, I HOPE! My son goes to UNC-Wilmington and when he heard us planning our vacation he asked if we could, please, NOT go to the beach! One of the great things about living in the Piedmont of NC is we're only a couple of hours from the beach or the mountains. So, we're going to the mountains - just a few days away before the kids start the fall semester. I hope you have a wonderful vacation and KUDOS to DH for holding down the fort!!

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Re: 6/26 Tarragon PMPS 205

Glad to see Tarragon is headed down.

We have triple digits too....about the same temp but no humidity and that makes all the difference in the world. In TX and OK, you can't just get in the shade and have it feel cooler like we do here.

I'm so excited for you for your time away! I know you'll have a fab time.

Hey guys,
It never got above 55 here today with a cold, persistent rain. October in June. But I'm glad we don't have your heat!! Tarragon, I don't blame you for going red for a little while. Now you're back in more comfortable numbers. Maybe that means more comfortable temperatures??

Keep cool!!

Ella & Rusty

Ozone alert? That's interesting & very thoughtful for the authority. We dont have this kind of reminder from the govt but I think we should have! Do more for our mother Earth is a must.
