Gave another drop of insulin this morning. I liked the way the drop brought him down last night and am pretty sure that Spot is going to need some support until his issues are resolved.
Went to see the vettie bean this morning at 9 am. As suspected, Spot has some tooth issues. He will need to get the last of his three teeth on the right side pulled. The bottom tooth is very bad...his gum is so swollen that it is covering half of his tooth. The gum on the one tooth on the top is red and irritated and the tooth behind that is full of tarter. Vet suggested all three be extracted, so he's got an appointment on July 7th. I was thinking about getting all of his teeth pulled, but he's got almost all of his teeth on the right side and it costs about $38 a piece of each tooth, and at the moment I am not financially capable to do that.
Dr. M. also said that giving insulin is a good idea and that he will probably need it until his teeth are gone.
Spot is very happy to be visiting in Lantus Land today because he isn't going to miss any parties! He is so happy for Vesta and Tuffy being OTJ and is looking forward to spending some time in the Falls with them when he returns from his little vacation here. He is also looking forward to helping chef Stu cook at the Strawberry Moon Party and has his spice bags all packed and ready to go!
