WCR: All Ps in place. Got snuggles last night while I fell asleep. But I have to say, she is grumpy with me and this stoopid laptop. Great appy this morning...98% CPC! :-D I just gave her some 5% Chunky Chicken because I'm worried that she will drop a little too much while I'm gone today. Hoping this will flatten her out without sending her sky high this afternoon, but allowing her to slide into the blues today. She can dip into the greens tonight when I'm home. Ok, I'm headed to school to start installing the wire shelves in my practice rooms/storage rooms...don't worry, I have my back brace and a chiropractor appointment this afternoon.

Last night's late post/response:
Good evening Angela, Michelle, Ann, Carla, Mariko & Rhiannon ~

Thank you all for your advice and well wishes with my little Shasta. There's something that is telling me that taking her to the vet's would just make everything worse. She comes close to this poor cat, except add asthma type wheezing with her hisses and lots of violence. I will attempt to get a video of her leg spasm thing. Maybe that will help with identifying possible causes. It may be like Michelle described with Mannie. I just don't know. I'm sure the majority of the issues I have noticed are due to aging, but it sucks.

She seemed to be doing well this afternoon when I got home from working in my classroom. I had a massive headache when I left school, so I ran by Shake 'n Steak to grab a milkshake (it's in the 90's and humid...I deserve it.) By the time I got home, I thought I was going to be sick. I grabbed some medication and sat down to rest. She joined me on the couch and loved on me some. Then, I got the most horrible news...my friend lost her battle with brain cancer. My headache coincides with her death, though I did not find out for an hour and a half later.

My dear friend is no longer in pain and will continue her magnificent singing with the heavenly angel choir. My life is richer because of her friendship but I sure do miss her already. Good night, dear heart

Her numbers have been so crazy tonight. I admit, I think I gave her a fat dose tonight...kind of on accident, kind of not...I just didn't see that food spike coming at +2 and then that stoopid drop at +4. darn it. About to get her +6 after I just gave her some licks of 14% FFEMF Turkey. She's not interested in her 3% FF Turkey & Giblets, so I had to do something. :YMSIGH:

Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Lindsay. Sending prayers to her family and to you.

I can understand about not wanting to take a kitty to the vet because they get so stressed out. I've had some in the past that I only took when I had to because of that. I hope you can figure out what is going on with Shasta and find a way to help her feel better. Maybe there are some supplements she can take.

I hope everything went well with your chrio appointment today.

Good evening Mary, Ann & Carla ~

Thanks for checking in on me and Shasta today. I hope she behaved while I was gone. She never parties and tells, so I can only venture guesses! She's been a hungry girl tonight which is nice to see AND we even have a little dip into the lagoon tonight. I don't know why, but I have been soooo tired tonight. I laid down on my couch for a few minutes tonight..."to rest my eyes" as my mom would say. Next thing I know, I have a cat laying in front of me, literally so close to my face that I was suffocating! :-x  So funny and yet so sweet that she wanted to snuggle with mama's face!

So, my former student met me at my classroom this morning to help me install wire shelves in my back practice/storage rooms. I don't remember if I actually told her that was what we were doing, but she was game! Drilling into cinder block is not easy, especially at some of the strange angles. She was fantastic. Didn't mind doing all the drilling which totally saved my back. I was ground crew...steadied the ladder while she was drilling, changed out drill bits, handed screws and brackets. By the end, we were on a roll. Shouldn't take us too much time to finish up tomorrow because the 2nd closet is a straight line. This is very exciting...I always need more storage space! My former student was unable to get a summer job and is only taking classes. She just ran out of "her money" (parents won't help out with any "extras"), so she is helping me out as payment for voice lessons with my friend. I'm pretty sure that I win out big time.

Thank you for your prayers for Lindsay's family. Everyone talks about how cancer affects entire families. However, because of Lindsay's infectious personality, it affected several communities all over Florida and then some. This is the first "friend" that I have lost and my heart breaks.

I hope everyone had a good day with happy, furry, purry kitties that pooped well and ate their fuds (not necessarily in that order). Hugs and scritches!
