Good Morning, Everyone,

Thinking of Shai and DW as they say farewell to their little Pirate Fitz.

Rusty is on duty at the Lagoon! How wonderful to see an AMPS like we used to see. He had a good night sleeping with his beans, ate all his nighttime food, had a good test and shot this morning, enjoyed the first sitting of breakfast and his lung treat, had his schmooze with his mamabean, and now is chillaxing in his basket. It is a dark, damp morning and just started to pour. This weather system seems never-ending!

I went btb this morning after breakfast because I was still tired from yesterday's adventure. But I am fine, except for my blackfly bites. Today will be a day of chores and maybe I'll be able to get my hair cut (last week they were closed); it is reaching the point of no return (but I was glad yesterday to have it, since those blackflies were buzzing around my head and I did get a few bites through my hair!).

Now that's what I call, Rusty numbers! :mrgreen:

I'm glad you're recuperating from yesterday. Are blackflies the same as deerflies? The deerflies are not not here yet, we just got rid of the gnats.
There's a product that I've been using for several years, for deerflies, which are nasty biters, and will do anything to get at your face and head.
They are stickypaper patches that go on the back of your hat, and the nasty fly goes right for it. They are very effective!

Rusty is having a great day today. Even the PMPS is close to green. I hope he doesn't bounce. These are numbers that are close to what he used to have routinely.

The rain sort-of cleared off, at least for the moment, and the sun is out this evening. It's still very warm and humid, however. I managed to get my hair cut, so I am ready for summer!

@Barb: I don't think you have blackflies that far south in NY State. They are tiny black insects that are at their worst in late May and June and are mostly gone by July except on mountain tops. They swarm and there seem to be thousands of them. You really need netting to keep them away from your head (we didn't have our nets yesterday). They actually "chew" when they land on you and the bites last for almost 2 weeks and are very itchy. They are "famous" in the Adirondacks! In fact the Adirondack Carousel in Saranac Lake has a Blackfly as one of the "horses". (All of the "horses" are Adirondack "critters"/)

What a lovely day for Rusty!! The LagoonMeister is IN!!! YAY!!
What some horrible bugs. Is there anything to do for the itching? GRRRR. Nice that there's a break in the rain and some sunshine. I hope the humidity breaks soon and you have some really nice weather.

Wow on the LagoonMeister! He is back and looking good! Ouch on the black flies. Is there anything you can soothe on the bites for less itch? Have a good night and congrats on the mountain climb!
