Yesterday's condo

Yesterday
AMPS=167 (0.5u); +2.5=191; +8.75=218
PMPS=216 (0.5u); +2.5=223; +6=176

Today
AMPS=97 (0.5u); +1=167; +2.5=169; +9.5=218
PMPS=194 (0.5u); +2=164

I'd like to thank you very much for the info & encouragement I received in Lucy's yesterday's condo. :smile:
I am exhausted mostly mentally trying to learn about the new drug chlorambucil, and I slept through two Azodyl alarms!!
By some miracle, I woke up at 5am, an hour later than her usual Azodyl time, so I was able to give it to her at least a little before breakfast.
I have 2 more days, today and tomorrow, before I start giving this medication to Lucy, so I can read some more about it.
I am picking up the prescription today, and I'm going to Costco to get it filled on Saturday.
I think I'm going to give it to her in the evening.
She already gets prednisolone and ursodiol in the morning.

Lucy's appetite is not so great this morning.
She finished the 1st breakfast, but from the way she took the food from my finger, I could tell she didn't really want to eat.
So I think I'm going to offer Turkey&Salmon for the 2nd and 3rd breakfast.

I don't know where this green AMPS came from!
I should have tested her when I got up to give Azodyl at +10.5, but I was too tired.
I may have shot a dropping number, but she got her pred and her dose is only 0.5u now, so I don't think we'll be in trouble.
We shall see.

HI guys .. Not sure where that green amps came from either but it sure looks nice! I hope that her appy picks up later in the day, maybe that turkey and salmon will do the job for her .. have a great day guys!

Maybe the new food is helping to bring :mrgreen: back??

What dosing schedule is your vet recommending for the medication? Ask her about pulse dosing as it seems to be easiest on the cats. Someone else posted to you about it.

I hope Lucy gave you a nice green and blue surf today. I hope her appy is better this evening.

Thank you for stopping by, Devon, Elise, Carla and Liz.

Elise - I don't know what dosing schedule my vet had in mind.
I thought I was going to pick up the script today, but it was tomorrow since I'm going there anyway.
I think the vet was still deciding when I spoke with her on Tuesday, and told me that she'd have it ready by Friday.
I guess I'll find out tomorrow.... or if I don't understand the prescription, I'd have to wait for the pharmacy's instruction on Saturday.

You will need to use gloves when handling it and take care when changing the lb. the day of and after. I used it briefly for Tiffany but it was too little too late. She had been on aggressive chemo until her oncologist missed a UTI that further destroyed her stage 1 kidneys and she refused to treat her. It wasn't the right drug but we tried it at the end to see if it would help her at all. Good PMPS!!

Hi Mariko.

You are such a thorough, caring bean. Lucy is very lucky to have someone like you to love and care for her.

I hope she ate better later in the day, and that the turkey & salmon disappeared. Sending appy vines, just in case.
 
Sending tons of positive vines for the new med to be a help for Lucy. I had just a little bit of experience with it and a friend's dog. You do such a great job researching everything for Lucy. :YMHUG: Lovely blues tonight. :-D
