Since I have 9 cycles at .75+, what's the opinion about going up tomorrow? I will be home to test

I agree, especially since you can be home to test. The red PMPS was sort of surprising to me, unless there was a number at some point today lower than the 151 you caught at +6. It could be a "bounce"? If China throws you a curveball and gives you a low AMPS, post here for advice would be my suggestion.

It looks to me like China is bouncing. If the bounce has cleared, I think it will be fine to increase. In other words, if you have a pre-shot below 300, it should be OK to increase. You don't want to increase at the same time the bounce is breaking. You can have the momentum from the bounce breaking plus a dose incerase and end up with a very busy cycle.

Her numbers are always surprising to me! They've seemed to make little sense, but I THINK from what I've read, the +10 and +11 numbers being in the 300's, followed by the AMPS, and again going into the 300's at +10 tonight mean she should probably be ok to increase....but she's made a liar out of me before

Still trying to figure out how to get her to "read the manual" :-D

pre-shot BELOW 300?...you mean if it's above 300 she may not have cleared the bounce? (Still trying to nail down this concept of "clearing the bounce" now that I understand what a bounce is)
Increasing when she's above 300 might mean she hasn't bounced as high as she's going to, and once it clears, she might come down hard?

Yes, I think what Sienne was saying is that if you see a number under 300, it will indicate that the bounce has cleared. If you see numbers that are yellow for instance, at shot time in the morning, then the bounce is "over".

If it's still above 300, then the bounce isn't quite over. That doesn't mean she'll continue to go higher, just that she's not finished with the 300s yet. It might be the next shot, tomorrow's PM shot that gives you the yellow preshot. There's no set time that a cat takes to clear a bounce. It can be 72 hours, or as little as 24.

They don't care what the manual says. ;-)

OK...I think I get it...I have just been trying to understand the terminology "clearing a bounce", so what I said is basically the same I think. That if her AMPS is <300 she's "cleared the bounce"...if not, she's may not have cleared it yet and increasing her insulin may or may not cause another hypo


and thank goodness for all you wonderful people. With all the differences in how each kitty reacts, I can understand why vets are so confused and try to use a "one size fits all" approach :YMSIGH:
