Re: 6/24 Purrcie AMPS 303

For such a short time on Lantus, Purrcie is doing great. That dosecrease will probably put him back in the good numbers real soon.

I hope you have a good day, Myla.

Re: 6/24 Purrcie AMPS 303

Thanks you guys! I just wonder why they get out of whack like that.

Re: 6/24 Purrcie AMPS 303

+3 189. That looks a bit better. He was starting to drink water again this AM and there were several pees in the box from last night. When his BG was back down in the blue zone there had only been 2 Pees a night and he wasn't drinking much at all.

Hi Myla, Purrcie's doing very well today. So nice to see those blues and low yellows. Keep up the good work, Purrcie!

Patience grasshopper. It takes time and you know you and Purrcie are doing so well in such a short time. I know it's hard to be patient though. Believe me one thing diabetes does teach you is patience whether you like it or not.

Re: 6/24 Purrcie PMPS 212 +3 136

+3 136.

Barb you are so right about the patience. After the roller coater ride we had with Humulin N I start getting panicky when I see the numbers going up. It's going to take a bit before I get used to the stability.

Re: 6/24 Purrcie PMPS 212 +3 136 Nadir question

Yes! A very good day, thank you!

I have a question. It looks like his nadir is around three hours on average right now. Will this change in time? I wondered if it was because his body was used to having such a severe drop while on Humulin. It almost always happened right about the three hour mark. You can see it on his SS. I'm curious if I can help change this? He does eat well at shot time, like 1/3 can FF and then about an hour later he eats about a tablespoon. He gets to free feed on wet food day and night except for the two hours PS time.

Suggestions?

Ronnie, I Just had to post that I love that photo of your kitty rolled up in the towel. He(she?) looks like a purrito.

.

Just my two cents, yes nadir can change, it helps if u catch it so you know when its changing.
You can also help the numbers by steering with food, again, data collecting will help you see the changes.

I never thought I'd see Luna at +5 and +6 nadirs, took him a while to get there, well, it was a long time for me.

One way is to alternate test times: +3, +6 one cycle, and +2, +4, the next cycle, you know what I mean?

PS: lol, Luna is a boy, who I thought was a girl when he/she was a baby
Thats his green good luck blanket! We used it a lot during his time on insulin! LOL! Wrapped him up in it to send green vibes to him. lol!!
