I'm sort of glad she bounced last night and was slow to come down today - it helps with the vet visit that needed gabapentin since she doesn't eat much when she's on gaba.

The vet was able to get a urine sample. It was super dilute, so that's not great. Not unexpected with diabetes and kidney disease, but not great. She's sending it out to be cultured and will update me when she gets results.

Kit cat sure kept you busy Alicia , glad she gave you a break last night .
I had to laugh when you said
But how will I shower?!?!?:p:p:p
Good luck with the vet visit tomorrow :bighug::bighug::bighug:
That bounce was a stroke of good luck for this morning. Did I take advantage of said bounce to get to bed early? Of course not. I was reading a book that I was really into, and "just one more chapter" led to me realizing it was 3 am, and I was gonna be mad at past Alicia for her choices come 3 hours later.

Oh Alicia. What a busy AM did Kit have. And so glad you woke up just in time. How lucky.
Looks like after keeping you busy all day she's decided to give you a night off, so you can read in peace (what ru reading this evening?)

Wishing you a calm and peaceful night

I started a new series over the weekend (The Kindreds Curse Saga), and it's so good - I might be halfway through book three. I definitely didn't take advantage of the bounce and get sleep - staying up to read until 3 am is not the best choice on a diabetic schedule. Oof. But also, highly recommend the series. So good.

Afternoon Alicia, I'm glad the vet visit didn't go too bad. Keep us updated on the culture ok?
I see in the remarks section on your SS she spit some of the Gaba out and didn't vomit. I hope she's not that doped up.
I hope her appetite will increase later on.
Glad you're injoying the book, I know sometimes a book is so good you can't put it down. Hope you can get a little cat nap in today.
Give Kit cat kisses for me :bighug::bighug::bighug:

She's definitely not as drugged as she was for the last vet visit. At least she won't need to be drugged up again until her appointment in August, and that will be a claw trim, so it doesn't have to be as much as when we want to do a blood draw.

Hi Alicia, I am glad Kit cat did ok with the vet today and also with the gaba.
Ivy always comes home after a visit and all the sedation and sleeps big time.
I hope she recovers and gets it out of her system soon.
Try to get some sleep tonight. And put that book down when you need to. I know it's so hard, but you gotta catch those zzzz's when you can, girl!

Kit usually lasts in a drugged state longer - I think I didn't get much into her - ways of getting it into her work once, and when I try again, she foils me. She's too smart for her own good. She's pretty much back to normal at this point - hungry and demanding attention, and not walking like a drunken sailor (a drunken sailor with neuropathy, I guess).

But it's so goooooooood! :joyful:

I'll probably try to get to bed a bit early if possible - there's more storms coming through, and they're coming through after 1 am, so some sleep is good in case we have to get up and go to the basement at some ridiculous hour.
