Good evening LL,

Well today was our day for packages to arrive. We got the contour strips and the asthma meds. Yay! I don't believe the amps is accurate because it was the Relion but it is what it is. At least I got a +6 with the contour today so it wound up that I only had a couple of bad tests.

Racci seems to feel good today and has been playing and napping today. The weather was beautiful after all those storms yesterday so I was out and took a nap in the sun. Stil trying to wake up. :lol: I missed Racci's +3 and had left her food but the little momma's girl didn't eat without me as usual. I should have asked DH to feed her instead I guess but figured since I was right outside she would eat. :YMSIGH: She ate fine when I came in though.

I hope everyone is doing well or better than they were and that you all had a pleasant day also.

Hi Melanie, interesting about the contour… we have both too, and I find the contour is about 10 points higher then the Relion, and other times they can even be the same. I just have trouble with the contour strips, they don't load as fast as the Relion and/or, needs more blood.

Anyway though, nice +6 for Racci and glad she got her asthma meds.

Hi Barb, Sienne & Serynn!

Barb, I should specify I have that old Relion Ultima meter. It not only reads high most of the time but takes more blood. There are a few things I like about it like the light and the fact that I can add blood to it but that's about it. Which Relion do you have?
Strange, they sent her asthma meds from Germany this time! That's a first! :smile: I'm sure glad her strips arrived at the same time, thanks.

Sienne, you're not kidding! I was shocked when I first saw what the local stores wanted for the strips - anywhere from $65-70 for 50! I had been buying them online for about $25 for 50 so it was a real sticker shock! I hope this time buying 200 at a time will keep me from running out again even with a lot of green days.

Serynn, It is sweet that she's such a momma's girl and only wants to eat with me but it's really more than inconvenient. It can be a real problem that she won't eat without me. She just recently started letting DH give her breakfast and even so, that's only sometimes. The other times she looks at it and comes back to the bed and wakes me to come give it to her even tho it's sitting right there! ohmygod_smile I worry if I have to go out for a long time also.
