Yesterday
ohmygod_smile What a day this has been! No poops yet today. I awoke to various little puke piles of bile and one larger one on the rug from his +8 snack. No hairballs at all. I had sat and watched him eat at 5am and I was so happy to see that he did so well without any drugs all yesterday. I went btb and it was wonderful. When I woke, it was panic time.......
I gave him some Ondansetron and also come Carafate to coat his stomach. I syringed HC gravy after a very short time and got the BGs up a bit. I took it easy with the gravy and watered down some Wellness turkey as the morning went on. Offering him this and that, he licking this and that....what a time!!! I continued with the syringing LC after Pepcid at +3. He finally ate very very well at +8.....on his own. Whew! So far, he has kept that down for the hour since.
Now he is sitting between the coffee table and the couch...his thunderstorm spot lately. We have an afternoon storm rolling through. So glad he is being brave. What a good boy all day! He accepted all the fussing and was a perfect patient.
Wondering why the upchuck and nervous about it happening again. Worst part was that I was totally asleep. If they get sick during the daytime, you can always check their numbers and feed them accordingly. the way it was for us unfortunately, was that he plummeted and had nothing in his stomach. Poor little guy.
So, that is my day so far. I have been checking on him all day long .....had no place to be....so I have been closely watching him. I feel better about writing now that he ate on his own .....
Sending happy full moon wishes out to you all....
