The vet called yesterday to check on Casper. He concurred that the cookies were probably responsible for our more recent streak in the 400s. It sure was nice to pull up the SS while I was talking to him. He was overly concerned with our numbers in the 300s and we will be continuing with dosage of 2.5u until something happens that warrants a change either up or down. Although I was very clear to him that my goal was to get her back to where we were.

Casper was in very good spirits this morning - looking really good and her coat was super soft. I'm hoping to take this afternoon off and should be able to come home and get a couple of spot checks in.

nice job with the spot checks. Another couple of cycles and we'll be able to see what this dose can do.
 
Yes - it's only been about the past month or so (coinciding with things spiking out of whack) that she has this uncanny sense of smell for human sweets. It is almost guaranteed that if I sit down to have some yogurt, she will be right by my side within minutes practically sticking her head into my bowl. I would have loved to see her going after the box with the cookies and just how she managed to get it open.

I'm feeling pretty good about today's numbers and I'm assuming her +9 is elevated due to her mid-day snack. I'm going to try and get one more check in tonight before going to bed.
