A nice recovery from last night. I will be making sure there is nothing out on the counters for her to dig into today while we're gone. And I'm going to see if I can reschedule some afternoon meetings so that I can come home and check +6.

Eliminating the cookies from Casper's diet will definitely be a plus! It's amazing the foods that diabetic kitties get into (muffins, bagels, waffles, chips, baked potato, etc.).

charlene, have we talked about the importance of consistent dosing? You're changing Casper's dose often, and that tends to drive the numbers up, as well as making it hard to see what his patterns are.

I suggest picking a dose and holding it for at least a few days or until low numbers force us to change it. My suggestion is to hold the 2.5 unit dose for at least 4 more cycles (2 days) and then post here for advice. I think you'll find improvement in the numbers once his dose is more consistent (and once the cookies clear his system!).
