Yesterday's Condo

Another day, another beautiful start. I continue to be amazed at the progress this boy is making. He is now hanging out on the bed with me (late start this morning!), having been allowed to have some outside time this morning. He didn't stay out long, and is now just purring away.

I slept wrong the other night and have a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder that isn't improving the way I need it to be, so took some pain reliever this morning and am now icing it. Will give me some time to catch up Willie's spreadsheet!

Between looking at the links shared by Patty yesterday and looking into canine diabetes sites for my best friend, whose mother's dog was just diagnosed with CD and likely Cushings, I cannot say enough how truly blessed I feel to have you guys and this board as a source of information and support. I don't know what we'd do without all of you or without this place. It truly warms my heart to know the community that is created and sustained here, and the good that it does. A special thank you to Jill, Sienne, Libby and all of our other experienced caregivers who give so much of their own time to help others and who do so with such kindness and a welcoming spirit.

Hi Christie,

Sorry I haven't been around much at all. There is a yahoo group for cushings. I know one of the people there (Carol I believe) is extremely knowledgeable. My dog went through the testing. There can be atypical cushings also. Best of luck.

Willie is looking fine today. Hope the moving is going well. For some reason I thought you were moving in with your sister. Am I mistaken?

Willie earned a dosecrease this evening! Woo hoo! We'll be calling it a .25u, but at this point, I'll just be measuring 2 drops off of 0.5u instead of 1 drop off. Because it was a nice, cool evening, I headed over to the apartment to get some more packing/cleaning done. At this point, I've got one load or so left, plus a load for odds/ends and plants. Also, there is a load of items to be donated to animal groups, women's shelters, etc., and a load of stuff that will go to the dumpster at DS' apartment. While she will be hanging out some at the house, she definitely isn't moving in!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
