Good Morning Everyone,

Another hot day on tap for today. Fortunately we'll be able to swim on our paddle today at a really nice sandy beach. Poor Rusty will have to endure another scorcher. He's either having a bounce this morning, or reacting to the probable short shot he got yesterday at PMPS. Maybe both. Anyway, he had a good night, a good appetite for breakfast (Wellness Turkey from a 3 oz. can), a good test and a good shot (I think it was an accurate shot! Marje, thanks for correcting your iPad's mistakes!! I will go through the box of MJs this afternoon and follow your suggestion.

Our new kitchen sink fixture is working just fine. I thought some of you might enjoy the plumbing company's motto: "Quality Workmanship is Remembered Long after the Price is Forgotten". It's quite a bit more elegant than "You get what you pay for".

Rusty gets lunch served by his automat today. It's a good thing the CatMate C-20 has a cold block that fits under the trays. We keep the fans on and close the insulating curtains, so it should be OK inside. This evening we can open up the porches again. It was 65 degrees this morning, which seemed cool!!

Keep cool everyone. The Canadian weather service predicts a hot, dry summer in Canada from "coast to coast--all 3 coasts). This is not good news for us (40 miles from the border)!

Wishing everyone a good day,

Ella & Rusty
Hey kitties, forget about my porches today: it will be HOT on them. See you all in some other venue.

Nice sunny start for Rusty! Not a bad start with the heat and the iffy shot last night. Enjoy your paddle. It should be a good day for it with the heat. Have a great day Ella!!

Re: 6/21 Rusty AMPS 217

Have a nice paddle today, Ella. Sounds like a fun time today! If it was a short shot, Rusty always bounces back quickly. Have a wonderful day. Don't forget lots of sunscreen.

Morning Ella - enjoy the paddle, and the swim. WOW on those temps... stay cool!

I love the plumbers motto - that is good.

Not too bad of a start for Rusty. I hope he finds the blues and greens today.

Enjoy your day!! :-D :-D

Rusty - no worries man! I will comes and get you - we can go to the dunes, soak up the breezes and play with the dune buggies! See you! ~ Mannie

Re: 6/21 Rusty AMPS 217, PMPS 142

Hi again,

It was another hot day, but very breezy and enough cloud cover that it was quite comfortable on the water (Lake Clear and it's outlet). We had a great picnic and swim at the beach and then paddled back to the put-in on the lake's outlet in strong winds and moderate chop. It was wonderful. We loved the paddle. I like choppy, rolling water and working hard to paddle it; it makes me feel like I am accomplishing something!

Rusty had eaten most of the food in his automat and was happy to see us in the late afternoon. He sat around outside while we put our canoes and stuff away, content to merely check out the places where the chipmunk hides. He had a good Wellness turkey dinner (ate from a 5.5 oz. can readily, so I guess those cans are OK, at least to the cat's taste some of the time!) It has finally begun to cool off outside and we have opened the porches to the fresh air. The house remained pretty comfortable today. I'm sure Rusty spent most of the day chillaxin' in his basket. Mannie was going to collect him for some dune buggy riding.

Tomorrow our hot weather is supposed to break--and especially on Saturday.

I hope you all are keeping cool. Off to some condos now,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Ella, thanks for the tip on the insulin compared to water, I'm definitely not a science major, I was just telling someone else last night, I think I slept through math/chemistry in high school

Nice PMPS for Rusty today. Glad you have some relief from the hot temps. I don't think I like that forecast from Canada though. I sure hope they are wrong.

Hi again,
Rusty has found the lagoon with a vengeance! I didn't believe the 44, so I took another test and got 40. Rusty Russ gets all FF T&G for his bedtime food tonight. I don't know whether this number is from the bounce breaking, or from the difficulty I am having measuring the fat 1.5 dose on this lot of bad Monoject syringes. Because Rusty is a bit antsy when he gets his shot, I don't really want to go from the 31 gauge syringes to the 30 gauge (I have an old box of Monoject 30-gauge syringes that are perfect), but if I can't get the dose measured well on my present lots of 31-gauge syringes, I may give the 30-gauge a try. I don't know what Monoject did to mess up their manufacturing process. Bummer!

Very tired and heading off to bed. Ni ni everyone. Thanks for visiting us.

Whoa Rusty dude, is the hot weather making you want to dive into the lagoon? Are you practicing for the Catlympics in England?
Hope you were able to get some rest last night Ella:) Glad to hear you enjoyed a nice paddle and swim. Sounds like a perfect way to cool off in this heat wave we're having.
