+9/3oz lc

pmbg 56/no bsg
+2/1.5oz lc
tl fud 6oz

Edit for PM - With that 56, I am not even going to give Mouzer the Blood Sugar Gold! I dont want him to go much lower, if that is what is making him have this number!
Edit: Oh Yeah! I did do two test and got 56 twice. I wasnt believing the first 56 haha

Mouzer is doing well under the stomatits circumstances. At least his numbers have been staying down.

Edit: I stole this from one of Gill's post heehee I love her dancing kitty graphics :D

OK We will try to go with happy and tell worry to bug off today!
I just was over at your condo visiting hahaha And I saw the alert come up for me and without even seeing who alerted, somehow, I knew it was you :)
LOL we need a doorbell sound with that alert :D

I just realized it looks like you are doing an OTJ Trial. If you put OTJ Day # in your subject line people can cheer you on.

Happy Day 7!

LOL Well, thank you for explaining to me what I am doing hahaha Because I have had no real idea except to see the numbers low and no insulin has been being needed - yet anyhow. I think I am too shy to put OTJ Trial heehee But thank you for the Happy day 7! And thank you for letting me know what it is that I am doing over here hahahaha And I am not kidding, even though my ignorance is making me laugh about it :D

Well better late than never:joyful::joyful:.

Here are the instructions for an OTJ trial

Start the trial on the next green pre shot.
If he/she is green at your normal test times, no need to test further until the next "PS" time; just feed small meals and go about your day. If he/she is blue at your normal "PS", feed a small meal and test again after about 3 or 4 hours. If his/her number is lower 3-4 hours after a meal, then the pancreas is working!
Post every day so we can monitor your progress and see if any tweaks are needed. He/she may have a sporadic blue number. Don't panic but post before you decide whether to shoot so we can have a discussion.
After 14 days of no insulin, we have a party!!
Sometimes the trial doesn't work the first time and we have to give a little more support in the form of resuming insulin. It's not the end of the world if that happens; we just give him/her the support needed. Our goal is a strong remission and it's better to take our time to get that than to rush into remission just to have it fail later on.
Good luck with the trial!!!
Once he/she is through the trial successfully, you enter a new phase. Your cat is still diabetic but has now become diet-controlled. Continue feeding low carb food in the manner successful for your kitty. If you decide to change his/her feeding schedule, let your meter be your guide to the best times to feed. Avoid medications with sugar in them and steroid medications unless they are medically essential. Continue testing blood glucose weekly for the first month and then onthly forever. It's a good idea to weigh him/her monthly. Weight should remain stable. If he/she seems "off" or sick, or is showing signs of diabetes (excessive drinking, eating, urinating, weight loss), test his/her blood glucose right away. Keep the teeth and gums clean and healthy; dental issues can bring a cat out of remission. If you see rising blood glucose numbers, it's time for a visit to the vet!

Happy Day 7 You are halfway there.

With Mouzer and his stomatitis, I will never be comfy. If he keeps normal bg levels, I will still test at least bi-weekly if not weekly. His stomatitis has a great affect or effect in this. I can never remember when to use affect and effect haha I have cause and effect in mind and cause is affect - but I still get mixed up when to use which. Anyhow hahaha boy wouldnt you like to be in a real life conversation with me hahaha And maybe that would not be such a bad thing because then you all could hear how I talk and laugh and giggle and maybe then some how put it with my words in here.

Ok I did say Anyhow
Anyhow what? Where did my mind go hahaha uummm Oh Yeah! The stomatitis a/e ffect --- how much is eaten and when and if flare up gets so bad, nothing else works but the steroid shot -- those two things play a role in this haha I found a way not to have to decide a/e ffect .... just say, plays a role heehee OK I am done talking here as I would be talking in real life now hahaha All of the information up there is good to know, so I can observe. And I am too shy for a party anyhow. If Mouzer could attend here in my place, then party would be cool :)

Congrats on 7 days without insulin! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Here is the discussion of the verbs "affect" and "effect" in Fowler's Modern English Usage (2nd ed., Oxford 1965, p. 13):
"affect, effect. These verbs are not synonyms requiring differentiation, but words of totally different meaning, neither of which can ever be substituted for the other. Affect . . .means have an influence on, produce an effect on, concern, effect a change in: effect means bring about, cause, produce, result in, have as result. . . ."

Hope this helps!
