Yesterday was babysitting day, which probably had some baring on Racci's high numbers but who knows how much? On the day before she had been all green except her pmps.

Recap of today: All Green!!
11.5-66,AMPS-88,+3-91,+6-76,PMPS-99
Racci has been surfing the green water all day and has been sweet and feeling good. She got loads of attention today even tho I went out this evening (we went to my DGS's birthday party. Yay, 4 yrs old!).

I've had no cable - tv, internet or phone! since last night!! I've been going nuts! It finally came back on sometime while we were out this evening. Comcast said it was an area-wide problem with a cable that broke and had to be repaire & upgraded. So couldn't post or watch my shows or do anything online. Luckily I have my cell phone from another carrier. So at any rate, Racci got all that extra time. We played & brushed hair and teeth & did lots of cuddling.

I hope everyone is well. TTYL

Hugs,
Melanie & Racci

Look at all those greens!!!! Awesome!

My daughter used to get so excited when the lights would go out and we could be like on 'Little House on the Prairie!' Gotta admit, I enjoyed the extra family time without the distractions, but sure don't want to live that way! :o

I'm SURE she loved all of that extra attention!

Hi Libby,

It is kind of fun for a while to all cuddle together to keep warm with a fireplace going when the electricity goes out in the winter and spend that time together with candles for lights and the fireplace and blankets to keep warm. My kids liked that too, especially when it snowed. It can get old real fast in the summer when it's hot though and when the boredom sets in. We went through 5 days with no electricity a couple of years ago snowed in here. Brrrr! I don't want to do that again. This area gets bad snows so rarely that they can't handle it when they do and with all the trees going down and small country roads, forget about getting out till it melts!

Racci did enjoy that extra attention. She's a little cuddler for sure. And it's so nice to see her surfing those greens! It's been a long road to get here!

Thanks for visiting, Libby & of course Hershey.

I know what you mean about the snow. For about 5 years we lived way back in the woods in an old house with a well. We'd regularly lose power, which meant no water, either. I can do without a lot of things, but I am SPOILED to running water! Several times we went days without electricity and had to get creative just to flush! Catching ice as it fell from the roof/trees - at one point, my husband was hauling buckets of water from the lake! That got old, fast -

Doug's family is from up north and they laugh at our reactions to snow. But, when we don't have it, we don't know how to deal with it.

I'm sure you've worked hard to get Racci where she is. It's so exciting for me to see those kind of numbers and think/hope/PRAY they might be possible for Hershey one day, too!

Nice visiting with you!

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Libby,

I agree, the water off is the worst! I don't have a well to deal with luckily but lose my water anyway sometimes if the weather is bad enough. The outlying station for the water co. is right across the road from me in the woods so when I have bad weather so do they. Thankfully that has only happened a few times though. It's no fun hauling heavy water!

Don't give up on Hershey getting there. I had just about given up on Racci ever getting regulated or good numbers when I finally was able to switch her to wet food all of a sudden and that was my breakthrough. Once she started accepting it after all those years of refusing it, she immediately started to drop and then the fdmb pros helped me with her dosing and now after being a longtime diabetic with high bg for so long, blues and greens are her norm! I still get so thrilled when I see them.

I better get today's condo going now. :) Thanks again for visiting.

Hi Caitlin,

Thanks! I love it when she has a green surf like that. She's been having more and more of them lately. :-D

I've been meaning to come visit you. Mr. Kink is so cute! Racci has a crooked tail also. It's not kinked but at the tailbone it's crooked so it doesn't hang straight. It gives her a 'raccoon' walk. Her funny rear end when she walks and her mask are how she became Racci.

Thanks for visiting!
