AMPS 107

Icky sunny again last night. Don't know where those are coming from. I had intended to take another mid-cyle test, but I fell asleep after the +3 and then when I was too tired to do anything but drop food in front of him when I woke up. Good start to the day, but we'll still ponder an increase. Vet called yesterday and said Buster's b/w looked really good. I asked her to send the results to me and I'll put it in my spreadsheet when I get to it. She wants to try adding Gabapentin to the Adequan and glucosamine for Buster's arthritis in the elbow. I haven't brought myself to try pilling him yet. This weekend we'll give it a go.

Last night I was both a proud mama and a horrified one  Buster realized this is the time of year when baby cicadas come crawling out of the ground in the backyard. There's a streetlight that lights up part of the yard, so he would sit near that area and wait for the lil things to emerge and then...munch, munch, munch. It was fun to see him be a cat, but so gross!

TGIF!!

Re: 6/20 Buster AMPS 107

Yay for good b/w results. I hope the Gabapentin helps Buster. on the cicadas. Smart kitty.

Glad that Buster's blood work came back good and hope that the new meds help.
Have to lol at the cicadia escapades....that is kind of gross tho...but at least Buster got a nice protein filled snack!

Great numbers today and awesome about the bloodwork!!

You can have the gabapentin compounded into a flavored liquid but be sure you stress no sweeteners and not even artificial ones like maltodextrin. I gave compounded gapapentin to my GA Sitka and also to sweet Gussie.

Ick on the cicadas. I'm pretty tolerant of most bugs except cicadas and roaches. We don't have any roaches around but we do have the cicadas. Ick, Did I say Ick?
