Hi LL~ It has been over a months since my last condo. Life is stolling by and hope all the new and old felines are doing great. I miss you all even though I may not be around as often. Mom and dad are back with me for 6 months so Skippy is getting full love and attention which is a relief for me while I am at work. I have been keeping up with the SS and we have been struggling between 2.35 and 2.75 up and down. Seems like he does not like the decrease than we are up and then down....very frutstrating least to say! He is due for his first teeth cleaning and I found a doctor who specializes in dental so I am sending her all my questions. Skippy will get his 7 month bloodwork and then they will fax it to her. He is do for the bloodwork since I am one month late for this. Hoping that the cleaning will help his numbers. I am also reading a book on Whole Pet Diet - by Andi Brown fowarded by Richard Pitcairn DVM- Andi Brown is the director of Halo and she has some awesome foods that you can cook. I am implenting week one by adding a receipe of oils (olive oil, cod liver oil, wheat germ, flaxseed, garlic and rosemary) and the week two will start with the cooking for him. I am hoping by changing his diet that I may kick start the decrease of his favorite drug insuline  He is happy though. Mom and dad says he looks better and has gained weight in the past 6 months.

If you get a chance to look at his SS ~ let me know your thoughts~ I am trying to do this on my own ~ by getting the courage to decrease and increase per what I learned here on LL~ Let me know if I got it.

I see there are several newbies here and hope you will hang on like I did and learn all the valuable stuff and support the group has provided me and Skippy. Without YOU he would have long been gone to Heaven but he is here in Skippy Land with love and full of his old self- Happy Fathers day to all ;-)

Hi Birten: Good to see you and Skippy. Wondered where you were. Nice your parents are back so Skippy gets attention while you are at work. His SS is looking good, you are holding the does before increasing. I would just continue that way all so you can start back down. Good luck with the dental. That will probably make a difference in his numbers. Visit more often if you can. Have a good weekend.

Hi Barbara~ I was so happy to read that Tuffy is on his way to Day 8th ~ YAHOO. I was chekcing his SS to see his numbers since Skippy and Tuffy were diagnosed around the same time. I am hoping that he can follow Tuffys progress. Thanks for dropping in and wishing the two of you great success to the finish line ;-) PS tell Tuffy to reserve a spot for Skippy at the Falls ~ he keeps telling me to tell his friends ;-)

Good to see you!!! Thank you for posting this great message for the newbies.

You're doing great with Skippy. I would probably keep increasing every 6 or 8 cycles until he starts getting consistent green. Several times he has put together several days of blue/green in a row, but then it's like his pancreas gets tired and he has to go up again. Hopefully those strings of nice numbers will keep getting longer and longer. Good job!

Re: 6/20 ~ AMPS 219 +7 341

Thanks Libby for looking at the spread sheet. He is not going in the direction I would like him to and hoping it is a rebound of yesterdasy blues and greens. I will hold the cycle 6-8 and then see where we are heading.

PS is wheat germ a grain. I will have to google it?

Re: 6/20 ~ PMPS 333 question

Well the numbers are not what I was expecting today after a great day yesterday. Have not seen Skippy in pinks consistant this long ever. He woke up active but as the day progressed very sleepy and not active. He threw up a hug hair ball. I made a new formula for his skin and it may have loosend up the hair in him.
Recap
AMPS 219
+3~284
+4~260
+5~282
+6~341
+8~342
PMPS 333

Question is Wheat Germ considered a grain?
