We're a little late getting Zener's condo up this morning. Liz went for a run and I slept late after last night's mini PJ party. All good here this morning. Looks like flat yellows, so we know what that can mean! Zener had good appy at the start of the cycle, made a few backyard rounds, poo patrol successful, and now in the midst of serious napping. High winds in our forecast today, so won't be much yard action until dark, too much fur ruffling! ;-) Last night's excitement was a brief appearance from the Skunk! :o

Nice report on the sweetie Zener. I wonder if the flat yellow will mean action later! Glad to hear about his routine backyard patrols and poo report :lol: sorry Zener! I bet that was some excitement with Mr. Skunk making an appearance. Have a nice day.

@Melissa & Mr T - Zener doesn't mind the snow or cold, but does not like the wind. Appy good today, so beans are having a good day! :-D

@Ann & Maggie - we wonder too about the flat yellow and possible action later. It was quite warm last night so we let the kitties stay out "past their bedtime". Tillie came running to the back door, so out I went with the flashlight and here came Skunk under our wooden fence. Zener was just looking at the skunk like "gosh, you sure have a nice tail." :shock:

Liz is having a massage and I'm to the gym shortly. We love Caturdays!

We've used the current vial of insulin for 2 months, so if we don't see some nicer colors in the next cycle or two, will crack open the new vial. Not that really makes much difference, but if I write it in his condo, sometimes action happens. :lol: It's almost as good as threatening a dosecrease. ;-)

Liz noticed today that yesterday was our 1-year anniversary on FDMB and finding all the great help in LL. The very first time I posted, Jill responded and got us off to a great start. After that night, we knew we were not alone in this dance. We are convinced Zener would not be doing so well, or perhaps not here at all, without all you wonderful, knowledgeable, generous, kind, supportive and compassionate people. And I know Liz and I would be in the loony bin without you all. :YMHUG:

Happy one year annifursary on the board too - bittersweet I know, but I share your sentiments. I have no doubt that Mannie would not be here if it hadn't been for all the folks here. They are the best, aren't they. :cool:

Thanks to all for the FDMB anniversary wishes. Zener was diagnosed for a little over 2 months before I found this place, was still on dry kibble and on Humulin. Thank you all for everything you do!

@Roni - thanks for all your encouragement! We watch Zener patrolling his back yard this summer, watching birds, chasing bugs, swatting at Tillie and remember last summer when he could only walk a few steps at a time, then would have to rest. His punk days now are so much better than his good days were a year ago.

The big guy is having some sizable drops @+3 and +4, so I'll stay up a bit longer and see what he is at mid-cycle. His appy has been good, {{{{anti-jinx}}} but I've been giving him small amounts after his shot time dinner just in case he takes a dive, don't want him too full. Since tomorrow is farmer's market day bright and early, a late evening is likely to be on tap. Things just work that way sometimes. :lol: :roll: :lol:
