Bounce!
Well, that's to be expected after yesterday's excitement.
I'm almost relieved.
Bad news: the day is not starting out quite as well as yesterday. My laptop is running super-slow and not looking good. And after all that talk about switching to 1/2" needles to avoid fur shots... I think I may have given a fur shot. Not sure how - I was trying to be gentle so she doesn't get afraid of the shots. It went better than yesterday (when she cried out). No cries. But then I smelled Lantus on her fur. Now - some could have gotten on the needle or syringe when I was measuring out the extra in the sink, but I just don't know. THEN, I accidentally stuck my finger with the needle. Awesome.
Also - her appetite was not great this AM. She barely ate until I stepped in to keep fluffing the food. Then I got out the old chicken dust and she ate up her full 2 Tbsp breakfast. I'll give her a little more before I leave for work.
The vet tech is stopping by this AM to change Blue's bandage. I didn't want to mention yesterday - on Kasha's birthday condo - but I made the appointment for Blue's amputation (right leg due to tumor on his food that is necrotic). Next Monday - 7 June. I hope I'm making the right decision. And that I haven't waited too long. Now I need to borrow or buy a large dog crate or something to keep him in while he recovers.
Nothing ever seems to just be quiet and peaceful anymore. Always the drama...
