good morning from Camp Stu,

Sorry to miss yesterday. Long, tough drive with a migraine. Bad weather here and awful, hot weather predicted. We're going home later today, to R&R!! But the main reason is that there was a coyote family with pups under our nextdoor neighbor's house yesterday morning! We havent seen them, but we don't want Rusty to get hurt. When more people are around, i don't think there will be a problem. And, our friend put a grass growing mulch-like mixture on the path leading to the cabin and I'm worried that Rusty might lick it off his feet when he comes in contact with it. Back this evening.

Thanks for visiting,

Ella & Rust

Rusty had a good trip yesterday with no carsickness.

Re: 6/19 Rusty AMPS 241

Have a safe trip home, Ella. Scary with the coyotes. Rusty will come down once he gets to his comfy bed at home.

Re: 6/19 Rusty AMPS 241

Morning Ella - have a good safe trip home. I hope it is better than the one getting there. Enjoy that R&R. Good idea to avoid the coyotes - porbably not a good thing for Rusty to be out if they are around. I think Rusty will come down from those yellows once he's back to home-sweet-home. I hope you are feeling better too.

YAY on the no car-sickness! Well done Rusty!!

Hi guys .. ok rusty .. let's see what you can do once you are back home .. sorry to hear about your migraine .. and the coyotes .. sounds like it is definitely time for some R&R!! Have a great day guys!

Re: 6/19 Rusty AMPS 241

Heading home sounds like a good idea. Coyotes are the reason Tess is an indoor only cat. Paws crossed for no pukus this trip too and that Rusty's numbers will settle down when he is home.

Re: 6/19 Rusty AMPS 241

Safe Home my sweeties!! Know what you mean with the lawn & coyotes--Nature can be dangerous to kitties--We have Hawks, racoon, possums, Ospreys, & various asst wildlife!
Rusty will be so tired he probably not want to go out--Maybe enclose an area for him??
Hope you got home safe & all is well--Hugs & Love from us!!

Re: 6/19 Rusty AMPS 241

Coyotes?! Wow, it's really the wild out there! We dont have coyotes   appearing but there are bad guys who do awful things to stay kitties here. Worse that coyotes!

Re: 6/19 Rusty AMPS 241

Eek Coyotes!!! I hope they get scared off when more of you are around so Rusty can get back to his business of chasing chippy!
Glad to hear that he didn't have any car sickness:) Welcome home!

Re: 6/19 Rusty AMPS 241

I hope you had a better trip today. Rusty, how about some better numbers once you are back home?

Re: 6/19 Rusty AMPS 241

Hi Ella. I hope the trip home is/was better for you, than the trip there. Camp Stu has neighbors?
Sending 'feel better' vines to you Ella :-D
Rusty will be happy to be back to his own home, I'm sure.

Coyotes are around here too, altho I've never seen one. I heard a bobcat in my yard. The most horrible sound I ever heard.

Hi again,
We had a good trip home this afternoon but the weather is AWFUL! HOT!! HUMID!! Near 90 degrees!!! (In NYC the weather was nice and cool, never getting above the mid 70s; so everything is the opposite of what one would expect it to be). Rusty is getting to be a really good traveler. No vomiting. Interested in his surroundings. But the trips still raise his bgs. I hope that he will settle down now. One complication is that I am now totally out of "good" Monoject syringes and will have to rely on the calipers (which in themselves are pretty easy: it's determining where the insulin is in the barrel and therefore what to call "zero" that is the hard part!).

After shopping, doing laundry, putting stuff away, etc. I'm tired, so I'll hold off visiting until tomorrow.

Rusty had a fine time looking for "Chip-Chip" this afternoon. (He didn't find him.)

Wishing you all a good evening and sending healing vines to all who can use some,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. to Barb: Yes, Camp Stu has neighbors. It's a small cabin (built in the 1930s) in a cluster of small seasonal structures and--unfortunately at times--is also right next to a small motel/cabins. It's a throwback to a simpler time of vacationing. It's actually pretty neat!

I also hope he settles down and your weather cools.

I went through the box and separated the syringes based on how far the needle came down into the hub. Most of them were consistent. I put the others away. So I just measure my dose consistency with the calipers and assume what is I. The hub is fairly consistent.
