Yesterday, another day of what seems to be a typical Neko cycle but thanks to Tricia's suggestion last night, she's sticking with the 80's instead of lower for her nadir.

It's still early here, so not much of a Neko report yet. She's definitely CPC'sing her meals and wanted me up early for breffs. Otto watch has begun. I think whacking is now part of the morning routine. I got up after much whining, and wasn't ready to start TFS yet, but just the act of me getting up got the kitties in position near the test spot with paws raised for the smackdown. They settled down when they realized I wasn't doing the test routine quite yet.

This bean is beat! I was up until +6 doing some sewing for DH's backup rowing singlet, then up at +8.5 for a test, then he got up at +9 to help load the boats on the trailer for the trip down to Vancouver Washington for this weekend's regatta. And then the cats started yelling for fuds at +11.5. :roll: I see a btb in my future.

She went back down to the 60's again. Hmmph! Of course I have a meeting from +10 to PS this afternoon. I went out shopping today to see if I could pick up some better quality HC than the Gravy Lovers. So Neko gave me a chance during the day to see if the new Cowboy Cookout really is 18% for her. Both cats inhaled it! :lol: So it passes that part of the test.

@Elise - I have tested my civie before, but just once = 53. :smile: He's had enough bloodwork done for his cystitis so I don't need to check his BG often. Plus he's squirmy. I did test once after he was high blues at a vetty visit.

@Carla - Back to green. Still no btb, maybe she'll let me crash early tonight?

Uh oh, I can tell this board is getting wonky again, I don'tknow if this will post or not but here goes! Neko is certainly looking good in those pretty greens and blues! Good luck to your DH this weekend - and hope you got some rest, that sounds exhausting getting ready for these competitions!

Nice job today, Neko! Rusty says to keep an eye on the kitties in the lagoon. He's up on shore (but inching closer to the water).

I hope your DH has a great regatta and that you have a restful weekend.

The Cowboy Cookout (18% in the revised list) seems to have done a fine job in experiment #1. It's just 2% less than the Gravy Lovers, and better quality ingredients. I like that it's grain free which I hope means Neko's GI system will be fine with it. At some point I'll experiment with some lower HC and MC too.

@Mariko, Ruth, Ella - Neko has inched back out of the lagoon, but PS was 1/2 hour late due to my meeting downtown and she had some HC so no surprise. But I'm OK with blues, especially if she tosses in the occasional high green. DH is in 3 different races and there are 10 people from the club there - I suspect he'll be having fun. Paws crossed I'll get some sleep. I might row Sunday later morning but no early rising. :-D

I'm going to try the Cowboy Cookout too. I really prefer grain free as well. For mc I tried trader joe's and Max likes it pretty well. I asked if you test all your cats because I thought I read they were all waiting in the testing area.

@Elise - There isn't much "gravy" in the cowboy cookout, but I usually give Neko the shreds as well as the gravy anyway. I don't ever have to worry about her filling up. Both my cats associate poking with treats, that why they both head to the testing spot. But only one has to do the hard work. :lol:

@Michelle - More blue skies for Neko than we had today. ;-)
