Yesterday's Condo
I'm back from the wilds of Wisconsin. The kitties were very glad to see me for a variety of reasons.
So, I'm on the train and I text my DPS to make sure that she's gotten my previous test confirming shot time. (Sometimes she doesn't get texts.) She texts back to say she was in the hospital overnight as a result of a cat bite she got at work. Apparently the cat bit through a ligament and broke a bone. I didn't hear her call come through and on a compulsive whim, I checked my phone. She was not being discharged and, instead, was being taken to surgery to repair her finger. She was sobbing. Despite all that was going on, she'd called her sister, who's also a vet tech, to fill in. It all worked out. (Other than the cats were annoyed because the substitute DPS didn't clean the litter boxes.) I, on the other hand, was making frantic arrangements to insure that the substitute DPS would be able to get into my building since there needs to be a permission on file with the doorperson.
I'm very glad to be home.
Squirrel -- I loved the photo of the cat in the suitcase. My guys do that all the time. One of my civvies, Gracie (GA), used to leave cat toys in my luggage.
