Yesterday's Condo

Thank you for all of your well wishes. Gabby seems to be feeling better. Her appetite was back this morning and she was insisting on breakfast. She got her regular food -- no baby food -- mostly because she kept sticking her nose into Gizmo's food last evening. (She's sitting here looking at me wanting the rest of breakfast!)I also took it as a very good sign that she jumped up onto the dining room table and then over to the pass through to the kitchen just to check out what I was doing. And it was a good thing she did because I was so preoccupied with pills and feeding that I think I would have forgotten her shot otherwise. It was very good of her to remind me! We're back up to dose since she's now eating. I'd like to get her out of the pinks.

(And Krys, thanks again for the recommendation about the duck pill pockets. Gabby's easy for me to pill but something she regards as a treat makes it even easier!)

Well Im glad to hear that gabby is starting to eat better .. that's one hurdle down, right? Now let's just get her out of these yucky pinks!

Sounds promising that Gabby could be getting back on the right track. I certainly hope so!

Im always amazed with the cats who take their pills in the pill pockets. Latte has always just eaten the treat around the pill, or eats the whole thing and spits out the pill! ohmygod_smile She wont even eat them as treats anymore. Stinker!

Nice that Gabby is feeling better! go girl! I am always grateful too that my kitties are easy to pill. Phew! Though I did have one once that was a master at cheeking them, I'd find the mushy remains 10-15 minutes later. What fun it is. Happy Caturday - and bring it down Gabby!

Glad Gabby seems to be back to her old sweet self now....
Thanks for the Pepcid hint yesterday. I have never pilled Shadow so I grabbde a piece of cheese and threw it in his mouth and he ate it without a fuss. We were both equally surprised though.
Don't know if it would work on a daily basis...

I'm very pleased with this gradual drift downward. I'm very happy that Gabby is out of the pinks.

Oh, I'm so glad to see that Gabby is doing much better today, and also to see that her numbers don't look oh so bad. So happy she is eating well, too.
Spot is also very hard to pill...so when I have to give him meds, I find out if it's ok to crush them and I just add them to his food and add lots of chicken or chicken liver dust on top and no problems what so ever.
