Good morning. I was going to increase Lily’s insulin this morning but I woke up during the night to test and she was 86 at +8. I thought that was pretty good but I wanted to make sure she didn’t go lower so I set my alarm for a couple hours. Was shocked that she was at 38. She is fine and I gave her some mc and will test her again at +10.5. This FD is so unpredictable. :D:D Even the threat of an increase brings results!!:D

Good catch! Hopefully she will comeup quickly with the MC this late in the cycle.
That must have woken you up sooner than coffee! :-)

If she stays up and doesn't need food after that meal at +10, the AMPS will not be food-influenced. Let's see how she does and then take a call.

Yes she is up to 93 at +10.5. I am going to get a little more sleep. She will be fine until her amps I am sure. Thanks Bhooma!!
 
Bouncing is about the only thing we can count on with this girl! Did you retest them 38 right away to make sure it wasn’t a bad strip?
 
It gives us a jolt to wake up for a check and see a number under 40. Resist the urge to feed mc if late in the cycle and try lc first. When you get a low preshot we suggest feeding a teaspoon of lc and rechecking in 3 minutes to see if save to shoot.

Yes I thought about LC but I just couldn’t do it being that low. I will next time though. I did test twice so not bad strip.
