6/18 Kasha AMPS 286 PMPS 184, 43 @ +3 - Dosecrease?!?!

Well. Not sure what's up - she was 286 at AMPS and then went up 100 pts to her +1. Super.

She ate ok - about 2 Tbsp FF. I just put out another little bowl for her before I go to work.

She didn't come to bed last night. This morning she vomited clear fluid - I heard her heaving while I was in bed, but she was in very good spirits when I eventually got up and tracked her down. I think her stomach was empty - there was a bowl with a little bit of food in the kitchen, but she didn't touch it - not sure if she realized it was there.

I'm so tired lately. Gotta get thru another day of work. Blah.

My Tray also threw up fluid this morning, something in the air I guess.

Well, here I am on the west coast up early but sleepy. What is going on with Kasha? Yesterday it was Maggie that was under the weather. I hope Kasha's #'s improve today. How is Blue?

I don't know what's up with Kasha... Weird. Wish I were home to monitor and see if she's dropping. She did drop down to 79 or so last night and maybe it's a bounce because that was over 300 pts lower than her PMPS... Who knows?

Blue is doing well. Today is Day 11 since surgery. I can't believe how much stronger his back leg has gotten. Balance improved too. At first he would pretty much sit in the litter box but now he can stand up. I put his food bowl in the cage and sometimes he eats standing up for a couple of minutes before he settles down. Amazing how much more stable he's gotten with that back leg. I keep monitoring the incision and freaked out a little a day or 2 ago cuz it looked like it might be oozing a little. Then I realized it's just scabbing over and gotten to the point that some of the littler scabs are coming off - hence it it looks a little oozy underneath sometimes. If this were my knee, I wouldn't think twice, but that incision just looks so long on him... I'll post pics eventually so everyone can see the brave little boy... There's even some white peach fuzz starting to grow over parts of the incision...

He was out with me on the papasan cushion last night and I was so tired, I kept dozing off for a minute or 2... then I'd wake up in a panic cuz I wasn't supervising him. I just know I will fall asleep and wake up and he won't be there and I'll end up panicking, worrying he might have tried to jump up on something and pulled the stitches or something...

Oh no, now that you mentioned McDonalds, I may have to get a small sausage egg burrito if I'm near a McDonaldsm and I can find any excuse... :lol:

Glad to hear how about Blue's strength. The pets have a lot to teach us about making the best of things and compensating. I hope Kasha doesn't bounce too much. Have a nice day with hopefully not too much worry!

Ok - got home, she'd eaten EVERYTHING - usually a sign that she dropped low. Not sure how low, but at least it's the weekend and I can watch her. And she looked all mussed up and ratty - like she'd been sleeping hard and hadn't groomed. Now she's telling me she's so hungry but I won't feed till shot time (maybe another 20 min or so).

Blue is out of his cage for a little while till dinner and he's hopping around like a little bunny. First thing he did was head for the stairs! No idea what he was going to try, but the doorway is now closed! The kitchen floor is a little too slippery for him, but the carpeted areas seem fine. He's hopping on and off the papasan cushion and across its uneven surface with no problem - even wearing the E collar. I'm impressed. Got to keep him from overdoing it, but he's getting around great. He was within about 5 inches of Kasha in her bed and she didn't react at all other than to look at him. Before the surgery I would have expected her to at least huff at him a little. Hmmm... wonders never cease.

Nice numbers finally for Kasha today...nice report about Blue too....you are doing such a great job! :YMHUG:

Well, I'm not going to argue with a blue PS...

She only ate about 1 Tbsp at dinner and I didn't try to force more. She ate a TON while I was at work, so she may actually be full. I'm going to trust her to eat when she gets hungry (plus I'm here to monitor).

36th Baytril eaten with skinny pill pocket rolled in chicken dust. We're in the home stretch with this prescription (6 weeks = 42 pills).

Oh - Kasha's planning to get the weekend off to an exciting start, I can see...

She was just outside with me while I planted the rest of my veggies (3 peppers and 2 watermelon that were sitting around for weeks, all root-bound, waiting to be planted). She got a taste of the outside a week or so ago, and now I find her in the stairwell waiting for me when I come in from outside (we live upstairs). Stairs are a little tough on her now, so she must really want to come out with me. She's so good - hangs out on the steps or in the driveway... I knew her BG would be low when we got in - it's the fresh air (ok, well, fresh for Cleveland, anyway).

100 points in 2 hours... you might want to offer Kasha a snack to soften this drop. It's a little drastic.

and did I read someone mentioning clown food in this condo! :mrgreen:

Hi Krys, It might be something in the air. Stu gained 100 points between amps and +2 this morning, too. Never did come down much. Great to hear that Blue is doing so well. See you tomorrow.

Ok - she's eating some MC now (15%)... I was half-dozing and now I'm pretty awake. I guess this earns us another dosecrease. I'd bet she earned this dosecrease earlier this week and I missed it cuz I was at work.

Ok - she's 50 @ +3.25 after a mini MC feast. She got gravy all over her face and followed me around, asking for more. She's giving me the big-eyed hungry look..

113 @ 3.75... Wow - that's quite an increase...
 
Well, Kasha's surfing the blues now - she's super squirmy and it's been hard to get her tests - not unpleasant squirmy - just like she's got some energy.

Hanging out with Blue on the papasan cushion now. He's sleeping all comfy and I'm trying not to sleep cuz I don't know what he'll do unsupervised - a little while ago he headed to the couch and acted like he was going to try to jump up. Nope, we're not ready for that yet!!! I have to put him in the cage for the night, but I hate to disturb him right now... And so I wait...
