Yes, we've been MIA. It's summer and I am incredibly busy. My pet sitting business has been strictly word of mouth since I went out on my own about 7 years ago and I am now having to turn business away - amazing. So while Elian is still top priority I just haven't been posting.

He's been running high again for quite a while and I upped him again. He had a day in the green and then bounced up again where he's been for the past 3 days. Will probably do another increase in the next day or so - need to be able to monitor him frequently since he can drop like a rock.

Thanks for the concern and noticing we've been missing! Will try to stay current. In the meantime, E has been feeling good, eating well, no peeing outside the box in months and is currently catching some rays in the screened patio with his brothers. He's a very happy boy. Sadly, since losing Remy two weeks ago Elian is more outgoing. He and Remy coexisted but never got along - always looking over their shoulders for each other. Our loss is Elian's gain - no more worries of conflict. He and Justin and KC all get along great.

Hi Susie. Glad Elian is happy and doing well. Hope the new dose agrees with him.

Congratulations on the success of your pet sitting business. You should be very proud of yourself since pet owners that are willing to pay for a pet sitter love their pets very much and are usually pretty picky as to who they hire.

Have a great day Susie.

Thanks! Yes, always sad to lose one of our furrkids and this came so out of the blue I think I'm still in shock. But he's back home with us where he belongs.

As for my business - it's a true blessing that I fell into it when I did because I got divorced shortly after starting and it has been so lucrative while at the same time allowing me to be home with my daughters when necessary, that we have been able to remain in our house and not want for anything. A great feeling after being a stay at home mom for 15 years. I'm also lucky to be in an area where people will pay generously for good pet care and I'm able to offer that - their babies all become my babies! Yeah, I'm very passionate about what I do! And it's all been word of mouth. :-)

Best kind of work, don'tcha think? Doesn't even seem like work when you love what you're doing.

Thanks - hope to see some greens too but his vet is actually happy with blues. She worries about going too low.

There are many vets out there who are happy with regulation numbers ( that's 200 or under)
They aren't used to people like us that are willing to work harder and treat our furbabies the same as we would a human diabetic.
Plus, if they cause you to go to low... they get in trouble so they are just covering their own hiney's from lawsuits and unhappy customers.

I basically took the insulin from my vet, found this website and pushed for remission and got lucky enough to make it there.
The vet just got updated ever so often.... ;-) :-D
