Finally I am able to test Sam again! I can hop around now after breaking my leg on the 9th. This last week has been utter hell! The DH is still in ICU w/staph but they did close up his arms that were badly infected. He is on the mend we hope.
Sam did get his shots blind for a few days as it was all I could do was load the syringe and give the insulin. He is so afraid of other people but getting better with the comings and goings of various people coming to try and help me out. A broken leg sucks! There is a rabbit here with a death warrant on it's furry butt. :-x

Hope you and your husband feel better soon.

What part of your leg did you break? Broken limbs are a pain. I hope you heal fast.

Hi Sue,
I remember you from over in PZI.
I can't imagine having a broken leg and a husband in the hospital too. That's crazy. I hope you both feel better. And you're doing amazing with Sam considering your leg is broken. I don't know how your doing it.
Take care,
Liz

the rabbit broke your leg?

glad to hear from you - i've been wondering how you were doing. also glad to hear you've got people coming in to help at least some, and that your husband is on the mend. what a couple of weeks you've had.

Glad to hear you and your husband are on your way to recovery. I couldn't imagine dealing with one alone let alone both and a diabetic cat. You sound like you are hanging in there and are a strong person. Sending hugs.

the rabbit broke your leg?

Re: 6/17 Samwise AMPS 245

I've been thinking about you and your family. The only thing that could make testing more difficult is a broken arm. Sending lots of good vines to you and your DH.

I stepped out of my chicken house and into a trench some rabbit had dug under the house right in front of the door. I saw it and told myself to be careful and fill in the hole. Well, I stepped right in it. God, that hurt like you wouldn't believe. Lucky for me my brother in law was home next door and heard me screaming his name. I could see the end of the bone sticking out funny and my foot was on sideways. I now have a steel plate and ten screws in my leg and will spend 12 weeks (all summer) in a cast. That's why I hate rabbits. IT's a domestic someone turned loose out here thinking that was a good thing. It's not, they are a huge pain in the ass and dig holes everywhere and eat your garden.
