Racci was a little piggy this morning and ate as much as she could get. First she had breakfast from DH, then from me, then she wanted more so I gave her a little more. An hour later she was back for more! This went on all morning. She was also happy and playful, took her poop and in general looked and acted well. It was a joy to see. Her amps is almost the same as her pmps in spite of all the eating so I imagine would have been lower during the night & this am if she hadn't been so hungry.

I've been trying to give her a break on the constant testing where I can because of her asthma and sudden resistance to all meds. She is starting to relax more so I think it is working. This way I can test as I need to when it's important without her getting so upset that she puts herself in an attack again like she has lately. She's been having some very green runs where I had to test often. That & extra puffs of Flovent have made her angry about meds. Racci does not like changes! Not in schedule, not in food, not in meds, no change at all! ohmygod_smile :lol: She has no sense of adventure at all. :lol:

I hope everyone feels well today and has some of this good weather that we're getting. I'm heading out in the yard to enjoy it now for a while. TTYL!

Hi Anne! The inspector has to get here fast since Racci calls out for assistance after her poos. She wants to be cleaned totally, both her bottom and the LB, so tell him not to waste time, her highness is calling me. :lol: :lol:

Well, all that eating today got Racci's bg up to 172 for a +4! Maybe she'll come back down again by +6 though. Poor Racci wanted to come out on the deck with us so badly today and I had to make her go back in because of her asthma. Maybe next week I can let her try outside again. :sad:

Nice numbers for Racci today. :lol: on the poo patrol pic. When Maggie does a poop, she talks the whole time and doesn't want anyone looking at her. :-D They are all too funny! Have a nice afternoon you two.

Ann, Maggie's too funny! Do you peek to see what she's doing when she's talking? I would. :lol: :lol:

Racci goes to the doorway of the bathroom, sits there and calls me on the top of her lungs but I'm not allowed to clean her there. Oh no, that would be too easy! As soon as I get there cleaning supplies in hand, she moves to her 'spot' half on the turbo scratcher, where she'll allow me to do a good job. :lol:

I love their little habits! They're sooo funny!

At least she lets you clean her! Merlin (avitar) has a very fluffy butt and doesn't clean it too well himslelf....lots of cling-ons in the area.....eeeeeewwww. I definitely need assistance when I decide to clean his butt. I try to keep the area clipped but it's time to do it again. Not a fun process. :lol: nailbite_smile

Hi Traci,

I have Racci shaved in the butt area and her long hair cut every spring so right now she has a short haircut which makes life much easier and she's growing back the fur in her butt area but its still easy to keep clean. Racci will let me do a good job as long as I do it the way she wants me to. I have tto turn her on her side and lift one leg and her tail to do it and that position works well. I make sure I have everything I need with me too so I can move quickly. Racci is so used to it now that she doesn't give me a hard time anymore. She doesn't like being dirty and knows I'll get it done if she calls me so she does. Racci gets anal infections and anal gland blockages all the time so she knows this helps prevent or cure them & feels better. She has super long hair back there too when not cut so I know what you mean about the cling-ons. :lol: It's much easier to catch them right away! I found the trick to her getting used to it was consistency-doing it every time.

Racci is so cute with her "habits"! We love to spoil them, dont we Melaine ;-) Is the heat causing ashma with Racci? Hope she gets better soon.

So glad I have finished my dinner!

Vyktor has had a few clingons here and there too - he hates me trying to snip them off and we both usually end up pretty upset with me having to shut him in the tiled bathroom and take a calm down break until he lets me finish the job, luckily it doesn't happen too often!

Lovely blue day for Racci.

Hi Helen & Serynn,

Helen, it might be from something blooming. I'm not really sure what's causing it. It hasn't been that hot the past few days, & has actually been nice and cool for a few days. Her Flovent inhaler may have run out too soon also causing her not to get enough medicine for a few days. I don't know for sure what caused it.

Syrenne, I can definitely relate! Many frustrating times were spent by me and Racci with those cling-ons also until we figured it out & got in a routine but it happened all the time with Racci!

Definitely not a before dinner topic! Yuck!!! :lol:

Actually Racci is running high after her am reading. She's been running green for a lot of the time and low blue when she wasn't. I need some sleep though so it's a nice change as long as she goes back to green soon. :razz:
