Good Morning Lantus Land, ~O) ~O) ~O)

Yesterday's Condo

And the yard comes to life...up early playing referee with the cats. The yard is quiet as the last of the raccoons make their way back to the park. Trash day is today, so I am sure somewhere on the street they had their feast last night. The time in-between night and dawn is silent. Slowly bird songs begin to fill the park. The oriole, cardinal, and robin and soon you can hear the ruckus of the Tufted Titmice bringing their fledglings to the feeder. Upon their arrival at the feeder it is like the whole backyard springs to life. Fledglings, chickadee's, hummingbirds, chipmunks, and a full assortment of little urbanite birds set about their day.

Inside the house is a bean ...playing referee over food bowls and window views, as the felines vie for what each supposes is the 'better spot,' to view the awakening world.

That's a nice beginning to a story. You could write a book with those opening paragraphs.

I normally enjoy the song birds and wildlife, but this morning, I only hear these awful scratchy calls of some big black bird/crow like birds outside. It sounds like their fighting.

I hope you enjoy your day, as soon as your referreeing duties are done. :-D

Ohhhh that was a nice way to start a post. I almost forgot I was at work and could hear the sounds.

Inside the house is a bean ...playing referee over food bowls and window views, as the felines vie for what each supposes is the 'better spot,' to view the awakening world.

That made me laugh. How true it all is and it was like I could see into your house, or any of ours who have multiples.

Hope you have a wonderful day!!!

That was great and I can relate to the referee part...

You also reminded me to stop and listen to what's going on outside. Love it!

Well, at least Attie isn't climbing today...maybe we'll get a turn this evening. Attie is being fussy over his rabbit again...even with fortiflora on it he is not impressed. So I've got an email in to Nature's Variety for an update on their canned instinct fuds. I have conflicting information as to carb count? 13% and then Binky's old charts confused_cat . Old charts ...it is a go ahead, but if I can get an update I'd feel better.

Glad you all liked the start to my day...I like summer in my backyard very much. It is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Backyard Habitat. Which sounds all fancy, but really is just a way of choosing to landscape to attract wildlife. Create a Certified Wildlife Habitat. It has taken ten years to 'craft' this backyard, but mornings like this make it seem worth it. I'm not strict about it either. You'll find a cat garden, kitchen garden, and human elements too.

Well, I did hear back from Nature's Variety regarding the canned foods. Some good news ...some not so good news...

They very kindly reviewed their data and provided updated numbers.

Most of the flavors are 13%

Duck comes in at 11% and Venison at 7%.

I did forward the detailed information to Binky for her charts. I assume she is still keeping them?

While I was reading I could hear and see everything! You should write a blog!

Flat cycle!! wohooo! Excitement coming!

Nice evening....everyone fed. Funny scene at the moment...

Attie is crashed out on the settee...

MudCat is on the back of the settee...

Gary is sitting on the floor at the foot of the settee.

They are watching the hummingbirds at the nectar feeders...
