Georgia and Simon (GA)

Simon went down into the 40's last night, so it was a pretty long night of testing and feeding. I did get some sleep around 1:30 but had to be up early today to get all my errands done. Simon is a nice respectable blue number this morning, even after the lows last night. He will be getting his 6th Adequan shot today. Then he will get 1 shot every week for 6 weeks. I have been bringing him to the vet for the first series of shots, but will do the rest at home subq. I see a small difference in Simon's stiffness and I think maybe his string of nice numbers has something to do with the less stiffness and pain of arthritis.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Re: 6/16 Simon AMPS 139

Wow, hope you can get some rest today Georgia as you definitely deserve some relaxation time. Good to hear that Simon is feeling more comfortable these days and that you can continue his care at home. Wishing you a relaxing Caturday!

We are back from the vet and the +6 is a very nice number considering he was at the vet. Things are looking well with the Adequan and we can move to the 1x/week shot now. I definitely can tell a difference comopared to the Dasuquin. Cleo is still on the Dasuquin and it seems to be helping her more than it helped Simon. ECID!

Nice! It seems like Amy said it took a while for the Adequan to help Mario. If you can see a difference with Simon, that is great. :-D

Hi Georgia, that's good news with the Adequan and Simon feeling good. Nice cycle today and especially considering Vetty visit. Have a great day and hope you get all your errands done and have some time to relax.

Re: 6/16 Simon PMPS 151

I'm so glad the Adequan is starting to help Simon! Yes, it took a while for it to REALLY kick in with Mario, but we definitely did start seeing minor improvement early on - and that gave us hope that we were on the right path. It's actually been a year since we started Mario on Adequan (how time flies!!), and while he's still a 17 year old cat with arthritis, there is a HUGE difference from this time last year. Amongst so many other things, now he runs up and down the stairs, rather than bunny-hopping. His appetite is drastically better. He doesn't lean against walls while lying down anymore. And, he doesn't hang out under the bed at all.

Keep up the good work, Simon...but don't keep the beans up till all hours!! Have a great night, guys!!

Amy, it is good to know that Simon may continue to improve over time. It is so heartwarming to hear how much better Mario is doing. Simon is also doing less of the bunny hopping up the stairs.

Simon has been looking good! I'm sorry I've missed your condo so much lately. I hope the shots help Simon.
