hoping he maybe hit some blues earlier today, I'll never know! will get a PMPS and then out again at the BBQ at the horse show.

day one done, and a success, three firsts and three seconds for Harvey (four dressage and two halter classes) and a First and a Second for Rojo in two halter classes - Harvey behaved amazingly well (there is hope yet!) and Rojo handled it all like a pro but definitely needs some work on his ground manners, trying to bite me in his halter class was NOT proper behaviour! That's what you get with a horse handled by kids for a few years! no worries, he'll be getting some remedial work soon! everyone loved him though and the judge thought he was totally beautiful.

tomorrow we just have a couple of halter classes with Rojo and maybe a western pleasure class depending on the weather and how tired I am?!! Upside is Harvey is now all qualified for Nationals so the pressure is off him for a while. Ro needs a couple more points and he should be good too.. IF he gets his manners sorted out!

Rupie enjoying his day on the patio cushions under the overhang on the deck. drizzly sort of day but warm. I think he liked that he didn't get poked nearly as much today. Hopefully he surfed some blues a little bit. Tomorrow evening I'll be able to up the dose again and see what we can make happen.

Nice cycle Rupert. Nothing to worry your bean too much. But, Rojo, really, biting in the show ring. That is just bad manners, young man. :lol: :lol: Did Rojo have a good time?

thanx guys. Rojo seemed to enjoy himself but what was great was Harvey also did, plus he was attentive and almost affectionate with me this evening at the show (they are overnighting there).... unusual for him. he's a bit aloof and usually so worried about everythign else going on that he barely recognizes me. Today he was super nice and even though the judge was an idiot (scores were just stupid.. if you get the comment 'Excellent Halt'.. then it deserves an 8 or a 9, not a 6.5!)...I'm super happy because we've been working really really hard and I was beginning to wonder if Harvey was ever going to start listening to me. Rojo wasn't really phased by much, and has just a little TOO much self confidence methinks!!!

Fed Rupie Turducken for his PMPS meal tonight just in case we weren't back sooner, and of course he's decided to head up. Least I know what caused it. Maybe he'll settle down and head a little lower for tomorrow, have to be outta here by 8am to meet hubby at the fairgrounds (he's staying up there to keep an eye on the boys) so hopefully Rupie doesn't throw too 'nice' a number tomorrow morning!! Lookout boyo though... tomorrow evening you are in for a dosecrease!
